Triangle window noise and whistle help needed.

Hello! Since delivery, I’ve had above average wind noise coming from the triangle quarter windows in both front doors. I’m taken my T in for a third time and need some help from people who’ve experienced this and had it fixed. What exactly did your service center do to resolve? Parts removed/replaced? If so, which ones?

I recently taped up the windows and the extra wind noise (beyond what a driver normally hears, this is my second T) completely disappeared. So I know where the issue is originating. Now it’s getting service to recognize and resolve. I’ve added pics of each taped area for reference.

Now that I have the tape applied and the cabin is more quiet, I can hear an abrasive and high pitched whistle coming from the passenger door, windshield, or rear view mirror area. I’ll upload some vids so it can be heard. Any others with this issue and getting it fixed? It’s awful.

Mine was making some wind noise. I stuffed some weather stripping in a crevice near the triangle window. Noise is gone now.

It's the crevice right at the front most corner. Someone else on the forum solve their wind noise by stuffing foam in the exact same crevice.

The triangle glass seems to be a common offender for wind noise unfortunately. I would submit your service request and include the videos you posted above.

Best of luck trying to get the SC to fix it. I've had my triangle window replaced twice and still have terrible wind noise over 50mph.

I do the same thing but I crank thrash metal or some great Prog Rock (Dream Theater)

I have noted a soft whistle recently and had not discovered its source but I did have to replace the triangle window after it suddenly shattered while driving on the interstate in Arkansas. I suspect a rock somehow hit it but cannot confirm.
It is not enough of a problem to go to the service center so if I can confirm the source I may just try using some clear silicone caulking. I think I have some around here somewhere.
I will look at it as soon as I get the vehicle back from the body shop. Repairing damage resulting from being parked in a hotel lot overnight.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, the tape is acting as a barrier right now. I’ve sent the pics and videos in with a service ticket. Will share what is done. Something as simple as door trim seems easy to resolve, yet this will be their third attempt to fix these issues. I mean, let’s remove and replace the trim. Seems pretty simple. This is also my second T and the first had nothing like this. Feel free to share any info if your in across and thanks for the shout!

@Cary Hawk thanks for the reply. Can you share the service ticket information related to the parts they removed and replaced? I’m thinking it has more to do with the trim piece between the main and quarter windows? Have you also experienced the whistling sound? My first T had none of these issues. Thanks for the time!

clear silicone caulking

Has anyone else tried clear silicone caulking? I’ve noticed some wind noise in my S and would love to make this a simple fix. Of course the service center is booked till August and they won’t acknowledge wind noise problems.

Glad to report we have a successful fix! The service center replaced the fresh air intake seal and no more whistle. They also replaced the two quarter triangle windows and related trim to get rid of the excess wind noise. Very glad to be experiencing the truck as the engineers intended. These fixes are in the company's catalogue of service center fixes and can be referenced if needed. Spend the time getting these fixes done. Worth it for sure.

had my first truck fixed and now my second one is getting same treatment. Driver's side is perfect, but passenger side is bad. Was both sides on my first truck. Have a 2024 S as a loaner. It is perfect both sides do they can do it.
