Service needed how should I go about it

2022 Rivian R1T Quad

I just picked up a 2022 R1T quad about 6 weeks ago and I love it. I don't think a weekend that has went by I didn't use it was a truck. That being said it is not perfect. I need to schedule service but I am not sure if I should go to service with a list of things I have found off/wrong or I should pay for the comprehensive service. For reference I have about 4 months left of warranty.

Things I have noticed:
1. Rattle in front drivers side on bumps. You can hear and feel it. Was barely there 6 weeks ago and now getting significantly worse.
2. Vibration when accelerating hard left front.
3. Windows on the app side not fully shut fairly routinely.
4. Drivers side back door trim coming off. Tape/Glue failing.
5. Passenger tunnel button temperamental. Takes multiple presses usually.
6. Noisy tonneau cover.
7. Doors hard to close. You need to slam them.
8. Back of truck rises to every time you get into it after a while. Kneeling is not turned on.

What would you do?

Create tickets for each individual item and schedule an appointment asap! Try to get them all addressed before warranty runs out. You can do all this within the app.

Call (855) RIVIAN-5 to set up these repair orders..

You should get a human at Rivian's central support center in Plymouth, Michigan.

They can help you set up an appointment (either next available routine appointment, or sooner for anything that impairs usefulness, safety, or drivability).

In my experience, the Rivian-preferred method, using chatbots via the app, is frustrating and usually unreliable. (855) RIVIAN-5 has been flawless for us.

Why would you not tell them what's wrong and just pay for an inspection and hope they find all of that?

You should put in your concerns and pay to have them do the inspection too.

Congrats on the new R1! As others have pointed out-do both. Call and get all the issues you have identified listed and get a comprehensive service so they can look at everything. All the best.

Now that you have an appointment, @Divus, you should be able to message the Service Center through the app. From the main screen, go to the bottom. There should now be a red dot by the wrench icon. Click the wrench icon, and the Rivian Service screen should show your appointment. Click the appointment; the bottom bar should say "Message Us." Click that and enter a message, which now goes straight to our Service Center. Your Service Center should answer your message during their business hours.

Ours is Portland (Oregon) Service Center, whose staff are excellent and responsive. Your mileage may vary. My sense is that all the Service Centers are improving, even though their workload is increasing due to Rivian's increased cumulative sales.

I just had a mobile tech at my place and he suggested to get the comprehensive test before your warranty runs out. That way you can get anyhting that needs to be fixed under warranty.
Of course, he works for Rivian, so take it with a grain of salt.
