Trip planning with Rivian App

I am planning a new trip where the first major leg is one i have driven before but the trip planning is adding an extra charging stop this time. Does the planning software factor in current outdoor temperatures or something else that would cause the change?

Two things to check:
1) It defaults to current charge level as starting charge - you may need to edit that.
2) It defaults I think to 60 miles range on arrival - you can edit that to reduce.

No idea if it or ABRP factor in temp and wind.

Thanks. I had changed the defaults so I am still confused by the route/charge planning resukts

I have to add a second charging stop in winter months for our 300 mile trek to our cabin up north in Michigan. This is to account for my 20% reduction in efficiency during cold months. So I would say the planner takes into account recent efficiency from your vehicle, not necessarily the weather conditions.

It's really conservative so I only use it as a guide. I cannot get it to wait to charge at the first stop I usually take, it adds a stop before that and no matter what I do it won't change it.

I should clarify, that’s with the onboard Nav, not the app.
