I would like TuneIn radio to default to my "Favorites" screen. If the Rivian infotainment engineers are reading, please allow us to control this setting.

Thank you!

It used to be this way and I have a feeling that since Rivian signed a deal with Tunein (For one free year of premium) they are probably required to put the homepage up every time.

ESPECIALLY since tunein is now doing quasi ads for their own service on the home screen (Garth Brooks Radio).

I believe you are correct. TuneIn's marketing people have misjudged the effectiveness of this strategy, as I would never pay for a service that seeks to sell to me other services. I Show me how well you can meet MY needs an then I'll be inclined to pay the service after the freebie runs out...

I don't even bother messing with the audio screen anymore. I do this all hands free: "Alexa, play KEXP" - this streams through the Alexa app. You can set the streaming default in the Alexa app to be TuneIn, and it doesn't require a TuneIn account or subscription (although I think you have to be a prime member). You can also default to a different streaming service (Spotify, etc.), or ask for a specific source if you don't want to use the default, i.e. "Alexa, play KEXP on FM Radio".

I also have Plex setup up at home to stream my personal music library from my home to my devices. Alexa can access this and play my own music, much of which is not available on any streaming service.

I never use the screen to control audio anymore, since I can do everything with voice commands easier and while using my hands and eyes for other things (like backing out of a parking space).

If you want multiple things to happen together, like when you first get in the car, then create a named routine in the Alexa app so you can do all those things with one command.

The other place I use Alexa a lot is to turn on the camera for the overhead view when parking or pulling into my garage.
