Just disable Bluetooth. It locks. ?

I did an iOS update ... WHILE DRIVING. I'm *THAT* kind of moron. It complained. It didn't lock when I walked away during the update. Do I recommend this? Hell no. Would I do it again? Of course, I'm retarded. So who wants to do an experiment? Let your phone battery get really low and put it into your Rivian and leave it there (maybe watching a movie) until it dies and see if the Rivian locks when it no longer detects a phone. Inquiring minds want to know...
And a spare fob battery in the center console...Key fob is very reliable, of course the battery would also die but always have my phone with me and keycard in my wallet.
I don't know about Gen 2, but this is 100% false for Gen 1.Key fob also has NFC which does not require battery to function.
Won’t auto lock if you are parked - unless you have it time out to lock.@SwampNut - I can always plan on smiling when I read one of your self-deprecating posts. Thanks for not taking yourself too seriously! I spend a lot of time on this forum and enjoy learning and smiling.
This post reminded me that I had to reboot my phone while driving not long ago. The Rivian complained and pointed out that no key was present but the complaint went away when my phone started back up. But would it have automatically locked if I had been parked? I don't think so. Maybe I'll go out and try that today - I'm away from home so I've eliminated that variable.
Sorry, edited my post for clarity. I was specifically talking about the Gen 2 key fob.I don't know about Gen 2, but this is 100% false for Gen 1.
