Does the vehicle have any power? if so, can you do a hard reset (beyond the infotainment one) and see if it will clear the fault long enough to allow you to drive over the obstacles?

Left outer most button the steering wheel, and hazard button for 15 seconds. (infotainment one is the outer most buttons at the same time for 15 seconds)

Also, you're not meant to do back to back resets of the vehicle, so do it once, if it doesn't fix the issue, it's recommended not to try again.

Curious, why not use the front tow hooks instead of tying straps to the suspension components?

I believe The straps in this picture are for towing not recovery. You never want to strap your vehicle to the bed with part of the body (front hooks)

It was a strange sequence of events the last 15-minutes of the ordeal. The R1T didn't turn on for hours due to the drive motor failure/service errors. Just as the tow truck was arriving, I tried once more to start the truck. It started, so I drove it over the rock garden entrance to the trails. Just after I drove it out, the R1T died again, with motors locked up (I think it was just the truck applying the e-brake to prevent further use).

If I hadn't been able to drive the R1T out of the trail system (over the rock garden), I would've been in a real pickle. The tow company sent an F-250 service truck (not a rock crawler) in hopes of somehow getting the F-250 through the rock garden, then winching my R1T the ~100 yards to the rock garden, and finally winching my truck through the rock garden.

Besides the epic failure, my Rivian R1T was absolutely amazing on the trails and rock crawling today!

The strap in the pictures was one of my soft shackles. I used the soft shackle when a fellow with a winch stopped to help get the truck out of the water once I figured out how to get it into neutral (shout out to the Rivian Forums folks who helped me sort that one out!). It probably wasn't ideal using a soft shackle to connect with a steel winch hook, but I didn't want his winch hook connected directly to my front hook. Yes, in the midst of what was seeming--at that stressful moment--like a dead truck, I didn't want that R1T front hook scratched ???

Before taking delivery of the Rivian 6 weeks ago, I hadn't been wheeling since I was...well, let's just say it's been decades. We didn't have soft shackles then, and I'm very impressed with their performance!
