Are you getting the Performance with Launch Package or waiting for the Premium or Standard? Where’s your location, service centers nearby? Just curious if there’s a method to their madness.

I don’t really need the Performance. But I put in the Launch Edition because I’d be willing to get one if my name came up early.

However, now that I have time, I’m going to get what I really want: the Premium in Forest Green with Coastal Cloud, tow package, and standard 20” wheels with all seasons.

I’m in Garner, NC; 25 mins from a service center/space.

August - September here. Reservation placed right after the debut. Don't own a Rivian. No lease. Said I was interested in the Launch Edition. Surrounded by service centers and showrooms.

Also a bit concerned that all the invites only stretch into early next year.

I reserved on June 15th and have a Sep-Oct window. Seems quick but I also attached my lease which is up on Oct 31st. Still no guarantee that I can get one before lease end. Still not sure I want to lease due to apparently unfavorable terms. Thinking about a Kia EV6 for 24 month lease and then come back to Rivian.

I'm a Day 1 reservation holder and got a 1-2 week order timeline. I live in Virginia, no lease, not a previous Rivian owner. I have never filled out any preferences, builds, etc. I've also been unable to schedule a test drive. I check randomly but there's never any availability.

My order window is November to December, and they assured me the LE will be available. Did your wife's reservation specifically say you want the LE?

Yes, I asked the assistant on the website and it said that the order will be processed and we will receive it when its available, so thats good. Said 1-2weeks for order and 4-8 weeks for delivery so pending delays looks like she could get a borealis so

That's great. An awesome color, but I just can't bring myself to get it.

Its a bold color, but the wife either keeps a car forever or totals it so it doesnt matter to us.

Nice. I love the color combo. I wish I could afford the Premium.

Oh, forgot to mention I’m from Columbus, Ohio with a service center about 30 minutes away.

There is no rhyme or reason why some people get order invites and others don't. Nothing is messed up once you realize it's just a lottery and luck is all that matters for order invite timing.

I ordered April 2026, didn't select "I want LE package", and got an order invite June 11th. I was just lucky. Nothing else to say.

There is a rhyme and reason for what's happening. And Rivian has said over and over again that it's not just who reserves first gets it first.

The Count's says "order within 4-8 weeks" instead of the more precise month range others are getting. also says then 4-8 weeks after order for delivery. So Rivian really expects The Count to wait 4 months? In this heat?

I wasn't planning on waiting for a Lidar vehicle but if my Nov-Dec window gets me one I'll call it a bonus. Considering my reservation was 7 days after announcement, that timeline is about what I expected if not what I hoped.

It's funny.....the update is not reflected in my account, but I did receive both an email and a text message that I can expect my order window to open in ~4 weeks. That said, I love my Gen1 Quad R1T and likely won't move on an R2 unless/until a tri-motor variant is introduced.

For 3k more for Launch FG/CC interior you get Performance (3k upgrade?), better wheels (2k upgrade) and Autonomy+ for life (2.5k) that is like like free 4.5k in ugrades... IMO this is a no brainer. It will nice to see more of these in NC soon, I am supposed to pick mine up 2nd week of July, also you will need to pick up in SC or VA unless something changes with the NC laws.

I guess if you don't care about Autonomy+ then it could be about a wash, but I would want the performance personally, and I love the the look of the 21's versus Standard 20's and the Rivian yellow calipers

I know what they told everyone. Seems like a load of BS to me. The priority rankings may have order date, prior Rivian ownership, etc. in the rankings somewhere, but they're so far down the list so they basically don't exist in practicality.
