That’s what I do. The fob proximity is off so it effectively is like a key card. I always have my phone with me so it works fine.I left my key fob in the vehicle and only used my phone. With the fob’s proximity off, when I got in at home (where it stayed unlocked) the car wouldn’t go without my phone, even with the fob in it. If I grabbed the fob and pressed a button it would then work, but if not, it won’t go.
