UV/IR Tint or snap shades?

We road trip a lot in our '25 R1S. We have the dynamic roof option and have the front windows tinted to match the rears. Our windshield has the clear UV and IR rejection film. Shall I just have the same clear film added to the rear windows vs Snap Shades? Our snoozing pup wants to know. We often roll down all the windows at 80mph to clear the dog fur. Pretty sure the Snap Shades would jettison out the window.

I would add the real tint, not the snap shades.

Seems tint would be more convenient than shades you have to remove and reinstall over and over?

I have the snap shades but can't say I've tested them with the windows down at 80+. I think your concerns are valid. I like the snap shades in general but they're very overpriced for what they are. Have had issues with the adhesive on the window frame magnets coming loose after awhile. I would tint if I were you.

Thanks. Have an appointment on Friday to get all the rear windows and hatch with the same UV/IR rejection film that our windshield has. Also bought the Vion roof shade. I wasn't aware that the third-row roof glass doesn't go opaque if you have the dynamic roof option.

I have the Twraps EXTERIOR glass protection film, and highly recommend it. I've stopped using the interior roof shade completely, even here in Phoenix. It made a massive difference, and also protects against impacts.

for the rear windows you actually roll down, we'd lean snap shades over more film. your rears are already tinted so they're rejecting most of the IR the clear film would add, and film across a drop-down window can catch on the seal over time. the shades also pop off when you want the view for the pup. where the clear UV/IR film really earns its keep is the fixed glass you can't tint dark — the windshield (which you've done) and the glass roof if that's where the heat's sneaking in. happy to point you to the roof/windshield film if you want to close that gap: https://twraps.com/products/windshi...m-rock-chips-uv-ir-defense-for-rivian-r1s-r1t
