We have suffered (on a per day basis) that much VD on our Gen 2 R1T, parked on our driveway for nearly 2 weeks. We went from 204 miles down to 79 in that 2 weeks, we have the max pack so that was 45kWh loss. But our 12V battery is nowhere near as old as most VD sufferers (Sorry for that!) since our Rivian is only 4 months old, with less than 2K miles...FYI - DRAIN - I was in Europe for a month on vacation - watching my truck online thru the trip. 150 miles of charged went to almost zero. In the middle I turned off my security video and notice that did slow the drain a bit.....
Now - surprisingly - soon as I got back I got a call from Rivian wanted to replace my 12 V...
Coincidence?
I know that some 12V batteries can die that quickly, but I also would suggest that maybe the weather plus the duty cycle might be conspiring here to need this constant charging... Otherwise it has to be an undersized battery, by design.... Thoughts?
