As a tall guy that’s more worried about upper body space, how about headroom?I can confidently say, as a 6'7" guy with legs for days: legroom is 100% a non-issue. This is all the way back in an R1T.
Weird there was some other guys that had Feb 2022 reservation dates and they got April to June 23 windows.Nov 2021 - almost exactly a year ago.
Headroom was great, pleasantly surprised (I'm 6-0 for reference, but could have been taller and still felt comfortable). One of the major decision factors for me was interior space as the SUV would be better for our family in that regard, but I came away very pleased with the interior space in all dimensions and much more comfortable with the T choice over the S.As a tall guy that’s more worried about upper body space, how about headroom?
Headroom didn't seem like an issue at all for me, but then again I have a shorter torso so YMMV. Worth noting that the seat has good range of movement for adjusting seat height and such.As a tall guy that’s more worried about upper body space, how about headroom?
That's me! but I've ordered the R1T, which is seemingly quicker to get than the R1SWeird there was some other guys that had Feb 2022 reservation dates and they got April to June 23 windows.
Ahhh that’s probably what I’m missing, I’m hoping the January update gives me an April to June window, it would be perfect. That's me! but I've ordered the R1T, which is seemingly quicker to get than the R1S
Yeah I’ve heard that interior option delays things a bitIt’s probably because I selected ocean coast?
I have Glacier White configured on my R1S. But Forest Green is my 2nd choice. I really liked El Cap when I saw it in-person in Venice on an R1T (and I still have that configured on my R1T as a result). I wish we had seen Forest Green in person (ideally near a Glacier White) to help decide.and now I'm torn between Forest Green and El Cap Grey (I've never been much of a fan of green on cars but it looks great on the R1S).
Consider the founder of the company is over 6’ tallMost things I’ve heard make it sound like there’s plenty of headroom but I get burned by lots of vehicles so I’ll need to try it myself.
by the time Rivian starts delivering outside of the GVRD, maybe things will have stabilized. So a year from nowFor those who have not spent much time reading the many threads in the forum about delivery dates vs order dates in the US over the past year or so, prepare yourselves for the full Rivian lottery experience.
Essentially throw out any expectations you had about being first in line based on your order date. Rivian seems to build in batches based on configuration. They also seem to pepper in recent orders, probably because they don't take as big a loss on those as the pre 3/1 orders.
They do seem to be giving out more conservative delivery estimates lately, with many people (including myself) getting the "confirm your configuration" email several months earlier than the estimate they had just been given. I was given an Apr - Jun 2023 estimate and got that email 2 weeks ago. So January might be when my truck arrives in Denver.
I'm excited for you to start getting your Rivians s00n! Get your tuxedos ready!
I hope for everyone’s sake that is true. Are you going to order again if they can expand in a reasonable amount of time?Consider the founder of the company is over 6’ tall

We will re-evaluate if/when there is news of firm plans for service between Calgary and southern Ontario, rather than vague wait and see.I hope for everyone’s sake that is true. Are you going to order again if they can expand in a reasonable amount of time?
