I've been getting this too, usually after not driving my R1T for a few days. It started a few months ago. For a while it was happening pretty often, as an experiment I turned off kneel-mode and it's been happening less often since then. My 5'4" wife has had some comments as a result.

For me, the frustrating part is that at least in my case, it sends this dire warning, but then doesn't start to raise the vehicle until I put it in drive and begin moving. One time, just to see what would happen, I didn't move after getting this warning, and 5 minutes later the suspension height indicator on the front display was still flashing like it was working on raising the vehicle. I started driving (slowly) and within a few hundred yards this indicator stopped flashing.

I am accumulating a list of little things for a future service appt, this is on the list.

Kneel mode turns off the suspension raise until you hit some slow speed, I think 8 mph? It's intentional because some people need to reposition their vehicle for others to get in. I think the messaging could be better here because of that.

I wish they would add a feature to the control settings to turn off the up and down action. I too get what seems random "Push ups". I will have someone walk up to my truck, I roll the window down they ask, what is your truck doing? I say, its flexing its muscle or something.

That makes sense, and now that I think about it, probably matches up with my experience. Thanks.

Received the same error due to leak in the air suspension system. Rivian replaced both front air struts, but the problem remains. Truck is going back to service in few days to replaced additional components.

….and more reasons why these trucks should be offered with the option of regular shocks and coils.

Choosing that option, if it was available, would eliminate the ability to change/adjust ground clearance for highway vs off road use.

In that instance what ground clearance would you want for your truck?

Yes it would, but I could 100% live with that, just like all those folks with other trucks and 4x4's and yet they don't have to live the threat and potential expense of air suspension going wrong, or the weird noises and ticks that come from air suspension (at least mine).
And trust me, in a heavy, inefficient vehicle like the R1, do you really think you're saving much range by dropping the ride hide a couple of inches? They'd be cheaper too.

To answer your question: set shocks/ride height to same as All Purpose mode. I bet you could dial in a much smoother ride.

I don't "think", I _know_. Up to 15% range difference between lowest & standard hight on the freeway, depending on speed (the faster you travel the worse it gets). With people spending $10,000 to get the 15%ish boost the max pack gives you, seems important.

That said, if Rivian survives, I am sure entry level trucks will be offered with lower tech suspension. At the moment they are catering to the crowd that wants more than a Lighting.
