Not bad? I really like that. The 3 row version could be shockingly practical.

I do wonder, however, after seeing more of these release pictures -

It almost looks goofy, how far back the front door is from the front. I wonder what's up there? Is there a frunk?

Looks like trying to evoke the classic style while adding a crumple zone

They got the paint right. I like the interior as well. But I'm doubtful my wife would ever give up the Jeep for one.

I think it's pretty cool... And yet, I have absolutely zero desire to own one. Much like the original VW Bus. IMO, the coolest thing about the original was the rear mounted engine. It was so fun in the winter in an icy parking lot.

300 hp? I’m out.

This looks way better than I thought it would but I’m sure a loaded awd will be approaching $70k or more so R1S it is!
I just need a vehicle that can comfortably seat 7 and have car seats.

From a performance standpoint my 147hp Nissan Leaf gets the job done and is fun to drive. If I get a similar drive experience with the Buzz but more interior space than 200-300hp is plenty for my needs.
Sure 800hp is fun, but it is also way excessive when really I need room to haul people!

I will agree though, if AWD kicks it into the $70k range then that's a harder sell for me.

201HP? Nah, I'm out.
It's a VW buss. What did you expect? 1200 HP with a flux capacitor included?

So I attempted to watch Droll DeMuro's YT vid on this. True to form, I didn't make it past 5 minutes into the video before switching to something else. Please, anyone, tell me the MotorTrend vid was more enticing?

Was this officially announced? I missed the reveal and can't seem to find any official information regarding AWD.

The "reveal" itself was pretty pointless IMO, nothing new.

They added this video after -
My quick assessment is that 1/3rd focuses on the past, 1/3rd focuses on general and future technology, and 1/3rd has bits of information but mainly gives a general vibe of the vehicle ie marketing fluff with some nice shots with no real substance.

It only focuses on the European version so not sure what all will translate to the US version.
I keep hearing that the US version will be longer, more powerful, and have AWD as an option. I haven't seen anything official from VW that would lock in any of that, but maybe I missed something.

12:30 if you're interested on the cargo version.

All in a all a very underwhelming "reveal" that does nothing for US customers besides tell us that 2024 will be first deliveries.

So I'm just now looking at those sneak peak pictures, and just noticing a few things I'm interested or intrigued in.

In the picture posted above, you can see the flat rear loading floor. But when you see in from the side, it's clear that there's some sort of storage underneath the flat panel just behind the second row. You can just barely see what looks to be a coil of rope underneath it. So a curious setup to me, I wonder why they need 2 false floors back there?

there aren’t two false floors. just one. It’s like a big table.
