It was actually $210, and I I'm too lazy to take it off to return. That's assuming they would even take it back. I have already accepted that reality. Sadly, it's actually an okay product and I would have recommended it if you have the patience to figure out the install. Instructions are horrible.

However, I feel good that I may have save a few members some headaches. I have no regrets.
Just do a charge back on the card for the amount you think you are owed. And the bank and the seller will hash it out. You’ve done enough diligence and have enough evidence to file a good faith claim.

I'm sorry I assumed you'd be able to follow easy instructions online, this thread should have prepared me better. If anyone else can convince you or explain my instructions I'll happily honor my commitment once you post and pick a charity but for now I'm letting this go after 9 pages of nonsense.

Would be fun if someone wants to make a poll to see who thinks you got what you ordered.
I’m truly astonished that OP and others haven’t been able to follow and/or acknowledge the clear mistake that was made when ordering. It’s so simple lol yet OP still doesn’t get it. “But it says so on my invoice!” No, no it doesn’t. At least you get it Steve. Let’s grab a beer sometime 😂

OP has repeatedly admitted they are not without fault for the initial issue.

And he repeatedly says that his invoice says his order includes the armor panels
it doesn’t. It just repeats the shitty title that is advertised on the product page with sub text below it that shows what he actually ordered. He refuses to acknowledge that.

I’m not defending the company - it’s clearly a bad company with cheap products and even worse customer service. Who says “bro” in a customer service response, lol. But OP repeatedly claiming his invoice says he’s owed panels illustrates that he doesn’t understand the actual problem.

A decent company wouldn’t reneg on a proposed resolution. A decent company would update the website title as soon as this issue was raised. They’re clearly not a decent company but what do you expect when you order the cheapest running boards on the market?

Like anything else in life, it depends. You cannot bait and switch a customer, where an item is listed at one price but rings higher at the register. For instance, if you had an item on sale the week prior, forgot to take the sign down and a customer bought it, you would need to honor the sale price or potentially face consequences/lose your retail license.
You are correct that it does depend. In the scenario you described, it would be a mistake, and they would not have to honor the price. It's not fraudulent without intent.

I thought about that, but then I no longer have standing. It's a legal term which allows you to bring a lawsuit. I don't plan to sue, but I do plan to follow through with my word. I will notify the Texas and California Attorney General's office of their business practices. This will create a file and will lend gravitas to for future complaints.

I gave them 24 hours to cure the default. The deadline was today at 3:50 pm. It stopped being about the money when I started this thread. I will do what I do best. Get underneath people skin. Albeit no money involve here 😂

No. I will lose my standing to assert a claim with the Texas and California Attorney General's office. Unlike them, I will follow through with what I say.

I ordered running boards with armor panels. You and I can disagree on what the invoice says, but don't marginalize my issue. I wasn't looking for cheapest. I was looking for what suited me best. Now I have to decide if I should cut my original panels or risk exposing it to salt water when I'm at my beach house on the weekends.

Why are you still chiming in?

Because you keep lying about what your invoice says. It’s not debatable. You posted it for all to see.

You should start a poll like Steven wanted to do, but too lazy to initiate. Too much talking and no action.

Here is OP’s invoice and here are the two product pages for running boards (without armor panels) for $549 and those with armor panels for $788.

I can’t figure out how to insert a poll so like this message if you think OP ordered the running boards without armor panels and react with a sad face if you think he actually ordered the running boards + armor protect panels.

Lol, you can't even acknowledge that the BOLD words in the invoice clearly indicated with panels.

Kudos to you for trying to do a poll. I'm curious now. I'll sweeten the pot. I will donate $1K to a charity if the majority side with you. You want to to match my offer if they side with me?

Yes the bold words in your invoice match the bold words on their website, which we’ve all agreed is a shitty design, misleading and borderline false advertising. In spite of all that, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out you ordered the wrong product. If you want to blame that on them, go for it but you’re still maintaining you ordered the right product.

The gray words in your invoice also match the gray words from their website that show which option you selected. Crazy how the pricing in your invoice also matches the pricing for running boards without armor panels. So bizarre how that happens!
