No. My post was mostly tongue in cheek about the overly sensational titles of minor issues and the minor accident damage that probably doesn't need much more than a good PDR guy to fix the panel.

Having read possibly thousands of your other posts, my initial read was that you were being sarcastic and poking some fun at other threads - I'm glad to hear that's the case. Incidents like this are a huge hassle, but I'm glad nobody was hurt.

My wife had a bumper to bumper parking lot encounter in our brand new Hyundai Ionic 5 when they first came out. It was drivable with some extra warning bells, etc. Didn’t look that bad, was at maybe 10 mph. It took them 7 mo. to fix it, and cost over $10k. Hyundai would‘t give us a loaner, or extend the free supercharging with EA, despite giving us a ”concierge“ person to deal with specifically. I liked the car, but sold it and will do no more business with Hyundai.

Well, if you take out the battery in the second Rivian, and dump it in the bed of your R1T, you'll have 262 kWh usable and no payload left for the driver.

oh man I am sorry to see this. I would be really curious to know how this turns out...I have the sister truck in the Silverado EV.

On the bright side it looks like just the one panel involved and a wheel/tire? Did anything hit the underside?

Didn't appear to be anything besides maybe the door, the panel, tire, and the steps. But, everything covered in grunge made it hard to see if the step was hit and pushed anything else in.

I didn't bother putting the winter tires on the Ocean this year. I might do it now though, I like having another car to drive if the one I'm in has issues, or gets hit, apparently.

Love the attitude. I know how much you love that car. Glad everyone is ok. Get mentally prepared for the months long wait to fix it though. All the best mate.
