Picked up my R1T yesterday and ran a search and didn't find a thread, so curious what is everyone putting in their gear tunnel to add adventure ready functionality.

Any plug in fridges (dometic or other) that fit in the gear tunnel as Iost my console cooler when I traded in my lexus SUV?

I keep a fully stocked Thunderbolt Adventure Supply Kitchen in my gear tunnel most of the time because I like not having to pack to go camping. But when I want the extra space, I keep the gear sled in place and put what ever else we need for the day in there...

Similar to some other bins in this thread, I picked up two of these bins at Costco this weekend. I liked the options for mixing and matching gear.

I don't think I could go back to any other truck specifically because of the gear tunnel. It's so dang handy having so much dry storage. The highlights:

• Pelican 1750 Case fits in there pretty nicely, with room to slide in any other hunting gear needed.
• A variety of tool boxes and bags
• a suprising amount of stuff that you just kind of forget you tossed in there. (oh THAT'S where that jacket/dog leash/hat/etc. went)
• So many impulse buys from antique stores or garage sales.
• Bodies. My fiancée fit comfortably (she volunteered, so its not kidnapping right?), and soon after...the neighbor's kids (who also volunteered, so still not kidnapping right?).

The Rivian tailgate bike pad fits perfectly without taking up too much space for other items on top of it.

Mine contains my golf clubs, softball gear, and an umbrella. All year round.

Not very adventurous I suppose, but it is very convenient.

Me, too! And the tunnel doors/seats make for a great place to sit and change shoes. Also, it’s kind of fun seeing the looks on non-Rivian owner’s faces when I drag my club bag out from the “secret” compartment. They look like I just pulled a rabbit out of a hat! ?

I keep my tool kit and a long bag with my all season SHTF gear in it.

Likewise + first aid kit.

My kids Rugby stuff stays in there a good part of the year.

It’s great storage for odd-shaped items while camping. My camping setup puts my canopy, camp chairs, water storage, and other misc items in there.

In case anyone still needs gear tunnel storage, Costco now sells these in a much more helpful translucent white. Still $20 in warehouse.

Well, I don’t actually have a Rivian yet, but I did bring a nuc box (mini bee hive) to a test drive and it fits perfectly!

I have used if for the same but found it more trouble than it is worth, especially if the nucs aren't perfectly clean on the outside.

Strap my hives down in the bed, under a soft tonneau. It is more secure and provides some ventilation for them.
Less mess and no possibly of the girls finding their way into the cabin.

I do have to admit there's a wow factor.to pulling nucs out of the gear tunnel, though. If you end up transporting that way, just be sure to wedge a blanket or something in there so the hive doesn't shift while on the road.
