What's on your list at those prices? For me the only other competitor would be the silverado RST but it's kind of ugly and GM's track record on reliable EVs is suspect.I have given up on the R1. The first gen was outdated two years ago and now, between an underwhelming driving experience and Rivian pretty much end of life’ing it with the Gen2, not a convincing product. And the Gen 2 is ridiculously priced.
Starting at 120k to almost 200K is pretty much laughable. If I had 200K for a new BEV, Rivian is on the bottom of my list for a lot of reasons.
So the R1 is a ‘no thanks Rivian’ from me.
I have a pre-order for the R2, but I have zero confidence Rivian will hit the 45K (US) pricing.
Nothing else tows my trailer the only reason I own a truck BEV, otherwise I'd probably drive a Lucid
