Make you you actually put it into park. With the auto hold feature, I’ve actually forgotten to put in into park in my driveway once.
If you’re in hold and open the door the truck automatically goes into park

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
If you haven’t locked it, and you return to the vehicle and it detects a key, it will absolutely go back to previous state - in your case, it’ll blast the AC to get back to previous set temperature.

Mine does this all the time. It’s normal. It took me a bit to get used to it.

Guessing a door wasn't shut all the way. My truck definitely changes behavior immediately after the last door is shut even if left unlocked.

I did not return with the key, I was just walking by to do something else and noticed it was running.

I assumed this was what the OP was seeing as well. When you leave your vehicle in the garage unlocked with proximity off at home it should sleep when you walk away. However, when you get close to it again with a proximity key it will wake back up. Do you store the key close to the place where the vehicle is parked? FYI - I use PAAK and I do not have proximity on for the fob so I have no idea how it acts with the fob.

Not sure why you assumed that, the key was in my house, not with me. I stated that in the original post. I know the truck automatically turns on when I walk back with the key.

Does the truck have a timer I can set to turn it off after parked for some time? My other EVs have a timer, defaulted to 30 minutes, but I can override that.
