Only had my truck for a week, picked it up used. Today when I got home from golfing, I parked in my driveway, rolled the windows down and went in the house with the fob. Phone was with me too, but it is not connected to the truck at all yet.

I came outside about 20 minutes later (no fob or phone with me) and the truck is still running with the AC going full blast. I have the truck set up to NOT auto lock at home. The manual says when I walk away the truck will lock and go to sleep, so does that mean at home I should expect it to stay running and waste battery energy?.

What is the logic to force the truck off? I miss the on/off button all my other EVs have.

You must have done something to upset the truck.

Is proximity locking using key fob on? I had to turn it on when it was recently enabled via an update. Has it ever worked?

I would also look at seatbelt as mentioned above. I didn't realize I had a seatbelt connected in my passenger seat for two days and was frustrated the car wasn't auto locking.

Make you you actually put it into park. With the auto hold feature, I’ve actually forgotten to put in into park in my driveway once.

This is the correct answer. Car will stay on until you lock it manually
Well that sucks, since I do not like to lock my cars when they are at home and in the garage. No seatbelts we’re latched.

@azbill
This is not true. All doors shut, nobody in the vehicle, no seat belts latched and it will absolutely sleep. I hardly ever lock at home, and it sleeps all the time.

Proximity is set up to auto lock, but I turned that off when at home. If that caused this issue, then that setting is worthless. I want it to auto lock and turn off when not at home. But at home I want it to turn off but not lock.

This is absolutely possible. If it isn't, there is something actively preventing it.

I have noticed the doors on the truck have to be closed hard, maybe my daughter did not close the passenger side all the way. I am going to keep the settings as they are and see if it happens again.

still wish it had a switch, those are 100% reliable. This is a perfect example of too much automation.

If you have it set to not auto lock at hone then you’ll have to manually lock it.
The truck will still shut off when all the doors are fully closed and no one is in the car with no key. It won't lock, but the AC won't be running and the truck won't be "on". I too have auto lock off at home in my garage and it doesn't run because of it.

Winner! Also, if you by chance leave a front seatbelt connected it will stay awake. I don't know if leaving a window down will do it.
