Why Wheels?

Most people start thinking about wheels for aesthetics.

But there are usually other factors that push the conversation forward:

• Wanting a more aggressive stance
• Looking for different sizing options
• Weight considerations
• Aerodynamic improvements with newer designs

It’s interesting how wheels move from cosmetic to functional.

Good topic. As far as the Rivian I started thinking about wheels during the test drive. I've been fascinated by wheels and their impact on the car ever since I got a 911.

Wheels are the main modification I make on every car I own, it's just a personalization thing.

Sadly with the rivian I'm still not that happy even with my atomic wheels

I just love any excuse to post this picture. I went non OEM for my MudTerrains for the cost and appearance.

Certainly not about weight or aero.

Agree with @kanundrum. I try to avoid "me too." These are coming soon to my R1S (also glacier white). Going for a vintage Group B rally look. I realize that's not everyone's taste, but pretty excited.

I went full one off custom because AW had a sale that made custom cheaper than off the rack. I had 21s and was switching to 22s to get more aggressive tires. Plus, I wanted gold and the closest stock they had was bronze.
