I'm in the unusual position of not being able to use the phone or key fob on a regular basis, so I have to rely on the keycard for day-to-day access to my truck. If someone has a wristband they're not using, I'd be happy to take it off your hands as this would be a big quality of life improvement for me. I'm happy to do local pickup in NOVA or pay shipping.

My truck accidentally came with a wristband.. it did not work as it’s only able to work with Launch models. The rivian guide was confused as to why it was in my truck (took delivery March 2023) he showed me how to set it up and it in fact did not work He wound up taking it with him. Just fyi if you don’t have a launch model

I don’t have a launch model either but somehow got a wrist band and it works. There’s nothing special about a launch model that makes a wrist band work. It’s just RFID like the fob and key cards.

This is not accurate. I got a wristband with my adventure model, which I got my truck in July of 2022. My wrist band, key fob etc didn’t work at all with my truck when I got it. They had to link all of my cards, wrist band, and fob to the truck since that was never done. Everything has worked like it should ever since, and that was done in august of 2022. All they would have had to do is link your wrist band to the truck, and it would have worked fine. As of last year I could not setup anything except my phone and Rivian had to link everything else in their systems to get it to work.

To the OP, the wristband can be a bit frustrating. It doesn't immediately unlock the truck. I only use mine when I go for a jog, etc. For day to day if I had to choose between the wristband and keycard, I would use the keycard. Just my 2c if it helps

I use the wristband in conjunction with the PAAK. I prefer to lock the vehicle when I leave it and not look back for it to - eventually - probably - lock. So when I/we get out in a public area, I touch the wristband to the door handle and done. I have tried both the fob and the cards and both require me to hunt through a pocket, pull something out, put it back - the wristband is an easier and more consistent experience for me.
