So interesting thing I noticed going through parts of the Hummer Service Manual. There's a few content changes that say "built before April 22 2022/built after". Kinda puts a hole in that guy's argument about "just ship the trucks and don't make changes". meh.
Tesla is constantly making changes to their vehicles. It’s like rolling the dice on what exact features/parts you will have during the same model year vehicle.

1: Takes a real winner to keep talking to me after having blocked me. I will, however, enjoy the free rent in his head.
2: I'll respond anyway - Things do change in vehicles, I never said they don't. What I did say is that changes to vehicles have LOONG lead times. I guarantee they didn't decide to make a change to the Hummer design on April 21st and then start shipping trucks with the change on the 22nd. Whatever change that may have been was likely in the works for an extensive amount of time.
3: Guy has no idea what part it is, so could be something as simple as them having to switch suppliers for a toggle and now the toggle turns on in the down position instead of the up. That's not exactly a huge technological shift to incorporate.

224kw at something like 33% ? Not bad at all!

But that consumption though, is that real? 1.2 (as in one point two) mi/kwh !!!
Taper started around 61%, was pulling 227kW then. Maxed out on this session at ~235 according to the display. Wanted to start from zero but just didn't have the time to run the battery that low.

Did some testing this morning. Three 53.5 mile highway loops in 27-29 F temps, 80 mph used 1026 Wh/mi 75 mph was 924, 70 was 829. Numbers directly out of the BECM, including energy used for cabin heat. Last I checked the computer estimated the battery capacity was 214 kWh.

Agreed. Thanks for posting. That thing looks huge, not in a good way. At least for my purposes.

Slows than I would guessed for charging given the massive battery and GM's claims, but it's still early, and who knows how long you'll have to drive that thing to actually get the battery warm. There's a lot of thermal mass there.

That energy consumption is.... something. Lol.

Yesterday I was looking at the Hummer forum looking to see if anyone had done any consumption or charging tests. Thanks!

Around town driving, I expect I could hit or be really close to the EPA target. Not something I could say in the winter time with either my Bolt or Polestar.

I'm not sure what I was expecting those numbers to be, but

You've clearly never worked for an automotive OEM. They all buy eachother's cars and tear them down. The Hummer has a lot of brand new tech GM hasn't shipped before, it's not just three Bolt EVs stapled together. I'm sure Rivian has a lot of smart engineers but not all engineers come up with all the same ideas.
The idea of stapling together Bolts to make the Hummer had me laughing way to loud, that was great.

Looking forward to more details, like other earlier posts I could probably get the hummer in my garage but never close the door. The Rivian is the 'just right' size for me.

But I'll be driving my new e-tron S for a while until it gets here.

I don't understand why this is in response to me. If you think I'm the one that's been a dick here, the block me button is right over there <---

It's fun to drive, but I definitely don't have the false impression that I'm saving the world from climate change by driving it. I pay extra on my electric bill for my power to be 100% renewable, so at least driving this thing and charging at home is going to singlehandedly fund a new 100 acre solar farm.
