Rober is giving away $60mil in resources to teachers to further education.

There's a pretty stark difference here, and the scales are not even CLOSE to being in Musks favor.

Ironically, that is my whole point.

Not really. He used Autopilot, not FSD. Autopilot is basically lane centering for the highway. It's not even applicable to the scenario he's using it for. If that wasn't bad enough, he also disengaged Autopilot before hitting the wall, which can seen on the car screen at the 15:42 mark.

He's purposedly relying on viewer ignorance of not understanding the difference to pump some LIDAR company. Tesla has never said Autopilot could do the things he's testing!

Wow this is all pretty confusing. But I think I've got it. Bear with me while I paraphrase:

1) Elon Musk and Tesla set up fake viral videos to show they had a functioning robo-taxi and have lied repeatedly about it.
2) Some youtube guy I had never heard of until today named Mark Rober (what can I say I don't get out much) also set up a fake viral video to show that Teslas running on autopilot, which is a totally different and unrelated thing that just happens to use the same hardware and software but never mind, would collide without LiDAR?

So... the youtube faker faked the video of the collision to criticize the CEO faker who also faked a video but the faked youtube video was about autopilot and the faked tesla video was about fsd which has nothing to do with the other. And it is especially outrageous that the faked youtube video was pretend-using autopilot which is not even meant for this purpose and he should have been pretend-using FSD as everyone knows, but he wasn't. Meanwhile both fakers were not-so-secretly pumping the stock of different companies trying to convince retail rubes to invest to make themselves rich, which they did. None of which should be confused with the more recent fake videos of the robotaxi were more staged videos than completely fake videos so, again, different.

I'm pretty sure that timeline is wrong, and if so, then the whole post is wrong. I admire your humor, however. I *think* the lying Robotaxi videos came after the lying Rober fakery, but I'm not sure, and suddenly I find myself totally out of fucks to google it.

Also, we've all known that Musk is a lying weasel, always has been. I can't imagine that's even a question for anyone.

Regarding the LiDAR video, the argument is that FSD wasn't enabled and that's why it crashed through the wall? So the hill y'all are going to die on is that Teslas only have functional collision avoidance when your FSD subscription is paid for and enabled..? Stupid argument. Automatic Emergency Braking should always be active and should always brake for stationary obstacles.
