R2 Reservation Window on Reveal Day and Ordering Email?

Maybe y'all can help me with this. I was at the watch party in Chicago. When RJ showed the link during the reveal, I pulled out my phone and placed my order.

But then on reddit someone posted a confirmation email and it was 10:02 a.m. PST. So I looked at my email, and it was 12:32 p.m. CST. So the guy who posted it on Reddit had ordered his a half hour before mine.

But I ordered mine when they showed the link. So how was that possible?

So I went back and watched the reveal, and when RJ revealed the link -- at least one person (and maybe multiple) said they'd already ordered it (and someone else chimed in with a me too!)

Because evidently the link went live when the event started, and RJ didn't actually say it was live until about a half hour into the event. But because the link was just rivian.com/R2 people had guessed it and placed orders.

So... what should I actually have picked for purposes of this poll? I thought I was within the first few minutes. But I was off by 1/2 an hour.

It should be the timestamp on your email confirmation. Mine was 10:23a

Are you 100% sure on that? I thought I remember the site refreshing and finally going live at 10am PST. My reservation confirmation arrived at 10:03am PST.

My credit card confirmation arrived at 10:04 PST, I went with that as it was when the charge occurred. My Rivian confirmation E-Mail was a minute later at 10:05 PST.

Not sure if everyone has received one of the 3 emails discussed but I have not received any. I just occasionally login and check my account to see if there are any changes.

The time window, or even the date, may not mean much if your uploaded build choices included an exterior or interior option that won't be available until later this year — August for the light interior, according to what I saw. That choice showed that it was unavailable, but I think it let me choose it anyway. That probably pushed me way down the list.

Other than my initial reservation email, I've not received any others from Rivian regarding the R2. No idea what (if anything) that means. Probably nothing.

I’m in the same boat, no R2 emails since 3/7/2024 for the reservation confirmation. I do get service status emails, charge summary, and gear shop emails but not the other stuff I read about on the forum.

Wow! only 2 people out of 45 have had the ability to order... Something in the system does not seem right. Even when extrapolated out the % should be higher... that's less than 5%

For me, I jumped on the reservation page as it was announced, and placed my reservation almost instantly (email confirmation shows 11:02am, or 10:02am PST). After dropping my R1T off at the Colorado Springs Service Center yesterday morning for service, and being able to admire the R2 for the first time, I headed to work just to receive my invite.
