Why is climate running each time R1T wakes up in the middle of the night (adds to vampire drain)

So assuming I park my vehicle with the climate "ON/Auto" I notice on the parking energy graph that a lot (could be half) of the power consumption goes into climate part of the consumption graph...and adds to the 1-2 KWH I am losing every overnight

IF I have the climate OFF before parking this does not happen and the consumption in more moderate (.7KWH typically)

Any setting to disable climate while park?

Never noticed or observed this behavior. Unless cabin temperature is extremely high, climate shouldn't be on until you press on the brake pedal. Time for a full reset maybe. Check your climate hold setting too, make sure it isn't enabled.

Are you sure it is climate and not part of the battery management system? Is it really hot where it is? If my R1S is out in high temps the system kicks in to cool the batteries and prevent the interior from over heating.

Rivians run their fans automatically after the car is parked and locked to dry the HVAC system's evaporator core. They also run fans to keep cabin temps from getting too high and damaging the screen.

SO WHY is that NOT running if I turn the climate off just before parking overnight?

Moreover the temps are very moderate and it also happens in winter.

The climate coming on is usually after the car is parked and "wakes" up to charge the 12V battery

This is an R1T Gen1 . Maybe it's different on newer models.
