Any "March-April" delivery people contacted?

Were you hired with the expectation of working from the office eventually (and relocating if you don't live near the office already)?

I've been waiting to see if Rivian was going to open up fully remote roles for software developers given how many other companies are doing that.

I live in San Diego, so Irvine is not that far. It might be hybrid in future with one or two days in office, I told my manager I would prefer to travel those days and not want to relocate. He was fine with it.

Some of it is over the top, but all of it seems to revolve around poor communications and inability to deliver to delivery to regular folks like you and I.

It's funny what happened to the community when they started to communicate and make obvious steps toward deliveries. It's like magic.

I can only imagine what the forum will be like when trucks start hitting the ground for us:

Not a peep here, either. Order date of 11/26/2018, order number of #1234 (for whatever that’s worth) and I live 4 miles from Bellevue SC. My guide keeps telling me that we are still good for Mar/April, but she swore we were good for November also.

I ordered 2 days after you (11/28/18). Curious how you know your order number? Is this supposedly what number pre-order you were in the overall scheme?

If you log into your Rivian account and go to the configuration page and look at the URL, you'll see a number at the end. This corresponds to your order number. Early order numbers were sequential, but later they randomized them to avoid keeping count.

At least you have a guide contact! I too have a march/april window (2/19/2019 pre order date) and I have had no contact and no opportunity to see a vehicle in person.

I think there was a pretty big spike on day one and the order rate probably fell off a cliff. I was in the first few hours and I'm ~400 behind @AdamL.

Sooo.... I know that I said that I had not heard a peep, but I just got a call from my guide with with more than just a peep. My truck is in production as well (I think there were a few others with the same status) and should take a week to get out to Bellevue. I will be getting a preliminary buyers agreement any minute now.

First, that's awesome.

Second - are you saying you expect to take delivery in about a week? Or are you saying 4-6 weeks + 1 more for transport?

Sounds like production may take couple of weeks, then a week to transport then however long they need at the delivery center. Probably 4-5 weeks.

It seems everyone being contacted now, for delivery, are the folks that have had Guides for quite some time. Is there anyone that has recent Guide contact, for the first time in this forum, or any other social media forums? Congratulations to those with deliveries in sight.

For what it’s worth I reached out via chat today, I’ve been relatively quiet on this board but an early reservation holder since February 11, 2019. I pressed the guy named Josh in the chat after he gave me the standard “yes your order still on track for March April,” I asked if that is that really true and you have any more information. He said he can’t give me more information other than a guide will be contacting me “soon”. Very sad indeed. So I pushed him and said, can you tell me with 100% certainty that I will still receive my R1T and the March April window, and should I assume April 30. He said absolutely deliveries are on track in the March April window and I will get it no later than April 30. Again I’ve been quite on the board but just wanted to share this even though it’s not much different than we have all been hearing
