R1T & R1S Updated Pricing, Configuration, Specs. Dual Motor Now Available

I work in auto parts industry, not surprised in the slightest, most of our suppliers have given us much BIGGER increases.

Configuration question....can we MAX PACK battery with dual motor? Seems we would use new dual motor option with bigger battery to push the range to new high if they allow this configuration.

Seems folks very close to delivery aren't seeing this increase. I wonder if that applies to all March/April holders?

That's an even bigger gut-punch as someone who is slated for Apr/May.

As someone genuinely concerned about climate change, emissions, etc. This is a major set back for getting more ICE trucks off the road. Was looking forward to an R1T. Now, I’ll continue driving my Model Y until I find a car that’s worth it…just cancelled my preorder deposit, too. Rivian is in for a rude awakening.

I ordered an R1T LE in November 2018 with a March/April delivery date scheduled and no guide contact yet, and received the price increase email. Upset that I may have missed the lower pricing by weeks at this point given delays by Rivian.

Congrats. Great news. I hope it goes smoothly and you get what you expected. I am in the disposable category. Got the email about price increase. Even though my page still show the old price the email says they are not finished with me and they will update it. I will keep th ereservation until this page is changed for me:

I would highly recommend people give this a few days before canceling. See if everything in the email stands after the stock plummets and Rivian spends a few days sifting through thousands of complaints.

Yep and if i remove kitchen it’s same price as my old large + quad. Bet it’ll get great range. May be the way to go.

I really feel sorry for not only every customer that supported this company with a preorder but also those who invested stock into the company, as this surely will not be great on stock tomorrow morning. What a kick in the nuts. When you do price increases like this you don't do so to those who believed in you who's deposits you've been holding after years with so many broken promises and those deposit numbers you used to IPO the company. Tesla doesn't even do that to people and I used to think they didn't really care about customers... I guess I was wrong. Really am shocked how far Rivian has nosedived itself and shocked how bad RJ is at making these kind of decisions. I am sure it will be soon we will start hearing chatter of voting him out and get a new CEO.. a vote that I would agree with.

Got the same. March/April window, and I signed the purchase agreement earlier this week.

This is the frustrating part for me. I am happy for those that have had the opportunity to start the contracting process and lock in the price. I really am. But it is quite annoying for those of us that pre-ordered over 3 years ago, and for whatever reason weren't part of this early delivery group, and are now going to have to pay $12k-$15k more. My window is also March/April, but I apparently will be paying 20% more for the benefit of getting it a couple weeks after some other folks.

The entire thing just feels so random, which seems to be a common theme for Rivian. If they came out and said "all 2018 pre-orders will be locked in", I would be disappointed (I was Feb 2019) but at least understand the cutoff (we want to take care of the earliest supporters). But it doesn't seem like that much thought was put into this. Just a gut punch right now.

Previous Price: $92,125
New Price: $110,250.

That's a 20% increase!

I get inflation and supply chain issues, but $110,250 is pretty nuts and not sure I can justify it anymore. Rivian just crossed over from a high-end borderline luxury vehicle to Super Luxury or Ultra Luxury tier...all without changing the product.

To be honest with you, ICE was my first thought after this. It seems like all EV truck pricing and timing is designed to get you to buy ICE. I am leaning Ridgeline.

My current stable includes a Ridgeline, picture below with the wife and Pup after coming back from an SCCA race weekend. It's good, but still looking forward to my Rivian. When the Rivian arrives likely sell my 08 Dakota, we are a two truck family and car parts business and one truck is never enough. By the way, that's our commercial building with 100 solar panels on it, when we get a Rivian truck it will charge for FREE.
