Configure part of the page is a piece of software that is used for the new customers as well so they had to do that first. I still rather wait for them to change this part of it just to make sure nobody messed up in communication. I don't think I can take my cancellation back. Just have to make sure.

I understand those who aren't going to change their config until the pricing updates in the hopes they get grandpersoned in, but I definitely don't understand anyone cancelling impulsively unless you really need that $1,000

Not in one go, but prices of the Model 3 went up 23% in 2021 and the Model Y went up 20%.

But the thing is, people who reserved at the earlier lower priced got the benefit of that price.

I'm ok with small-ish increase, not 20%

Wow guys, took me like an hour to page through 30 pages. You are all rightly upset. LE is up by $12k, as I see it 6k for the large pack and 6k for the quad motor added in. LE still has free rim upgrade and free powered tonneau cover. You can flip that math around if you want.

Really glad I bought that EV6 a couple weeks back. Definitely wasn’t getting a LE, was toying with selling it, a couple folks inquired but I guess it isn’t worth much now… haha.

Now updated on my order page, same config was $79,525 yesterday, so 15% increase.

I get people are upset with the price hikes, but how, pray tell, is Rivian anything like Lordstown or Nikola? Rivian has 1) HEFTY backer supporting them. 2) Rivian has put out vehicles to the en masse market. Something neither Lordstown nor Nikola ever accomplished.

It's another EV company that won't survive in my opinion. Look, I wish them well and I'm happy for everyone that will get one. I just don't see how they survive this in the long run that's all. I hope I'm wrong.

Looks like staying under the $80k cap is now out of the question. Oh well, I wasn't buying one anyway. And Biden's BBB plan seems to be dead anyway.

Glad they prioritized deliveries to employees. Wouldn't want them to feel like they got gut punched like the rest of us.
This was poorly executed. No regard to reservation holders or even early launch edition holders. I thought Rivian was a company that wanted to make a difference. Shame on me for believing the hype.

Voted for what? The person you are referring to did not create this pandemic or cause the inflation everyone is feeling right now. Literally the entire world is getting hit with the same problem.

The average price of a new car went up 32% since 2018.

This is Rivian's first price increase since 2018 and it's 20%. But y'all are too wrapped up in your Internet-fueled emotions and entitlement to have any notion of rationality left.

Well the price estimate on my page is still ~$76k, but if I update anything then it goes up to ~$93k. Maybe if I don’t change anything, then it will stay $76k. If it stays the same price, I guess my configuration is locked. Haha. I’m going to wait and see, but also putting a few other deposits on other vehicles this week just incase.

I legit dont trust Customer Service so until I get 1000% confirmation mine will increase (reflective on my page) I WILL NOT cancel.

Mine just changed and increased 20% and I have the same order date and similar configuration as kanundrum. So disheartening and really makes the brand lose a lot of luster in my eyes.

Really disappointed. I won’t cancel my reservation right away, but I very much doubt I will keep the reservation. $15k min. price increase for Adventure Package reservation holders is ridiculous ($6k to keep quad motor, $6k to keep battery size, $3k to keep power tonneau). Plus paint and option price increases.

They easily could have kept pricing for vehicles where they’ve already taken $1,000 deposits. They chose not to. I was patient and even an apologist for them with all of the other delays, de-contenting, missed deadlines and lack of communication, but this really has soured my opinion of the company. Wish I did not invest in the stock. Glad I never ordered any swag. Really wish I had a Lightning reservation right now.

I’m guessing when the dust settles, lots of people will be getting their trucks s00ner because there will be so many dropped reservations. It wouldn’t help me because they’re not going to make max packs any time s00n anyway. Those who have imminent deliveries should consider selling their LE reservations instead of just cancelling. People will still want this truck, but I’m sure they lost a lot of customers and brand good will today.
