Which R2 colors look best when dirty?

For example, my Launch Green R1S does pretty good. You can tell the dirt is there, but somehow it's not dramatically different when you wash it like most darker metallic cars are.

This is so accurate. It looks good (great if you like the color like me) when dirty and only looks a little better when clean.

Maybe this is a little bit of an odd question, but which R2 colors do people think look best when the vehicle is a little bit dirty?

While I plan to be good about washing the R2 if I buy, it will likely be parked outdoors for most of its life, so it will often look less than pristine. Which colors hold up the best in this circumstance?

Any thoughts?

Silver hides dirt the best regardless of brand. That's the main reason that I've owned more Silver than any other color over my lifetime (no garage). Solid black is easily the worst. My launch green hides dirt well + half moon grey as two colors only slightly worse than Silver.

I was on the fence about Esker Silver or Glacier White as I live in Forida. If you get a dark color, it gets so hot you can fry an egg on the hood. I did a little research.

Glacier White

• Heat Rejection: Reflects the highest amount of sunlight.
• Pros: Keeps the exterior sheet metal noticeably cooler than silver. It is a very crisp, clean look.
• Cons: Shows bugs, dirt, and Florida pollen very easily.

Esker Silver

• Heat Rejection: High, but slightly less reflective than pure white.
• Pros: The fine metallic flakes offer great sunlight reflection while excelling at hiding dust, water spots, and light road grime.
• Cons: Metal flakes can cause the exterior to absorb a tiny bit more heat than flat white paint.

I think I am going to get the silver as the white is an additional $1K. I hope this helps with your choice,

I have the same issue parking outside in Southern California. The white looks particularly good on the R2, I’ve been looking at it closely.

I've always been amazed at how dirty a white vehicle can be yet still be complimented on how clean it looks. Seems non-intuitive, but I believe white looks best when a bit dirty - unless you're talking caked-on mud from offroading.

I love the white also, but boy it sure shows the little orange, so-called "rail dust" or iron spots, of which there are many on the lower half of most cars. Most other colors hide these little spots pretty well. They are tough! to remove, even with a clay bar, requiring lots of elbow grease.

We selected Glacier White R1S because I didn't want to see it dirty all the time. Of course its washed and mine is garaged, but still, a darker color shows much faster.

Since you're in SoCal, there are particulates that you'll notice and with dew, it will stick to the surface requiring a wash.

Recommend get the color you like and subscribe to one of those all you can eat car wash subscriptions. Its a machine wash but you can get it done often for a one price/month.

I do have one of those unlimited car wash subscriptions. My current car is a red Mach-E, it gets this layer of yellow pollen after a couple of days outside. Particularly in the Spring with the overnight dew, it looks very messy very quickly.

I was thinking of Borealis for the R2, I’ve never had a dark purple car but I think I may grow tired of it and it seems to be a particularly bad color for parking outside between the heat and dirt potential from what everyone is saying.
