I mentioned that in another thread, or on Facebook. But yeah, if you're used to seeing all the wheels mechanically locked, it's really odd seeing everything turning at different speeds. Assuming we ever get ice on Georgetown Lake again of sufficient thickness and quality, I'll have fun trying some ice racing one of these days with a Rivian. It's really interesting watching the individual tires speeds while you're doing donuts. You can see it testing the limits of traction on the individual tires. Not your normal burnout-style donut!

all I could see in that video was a HUGE concrete wall and the constant fear of back-stepping right into it with a R1T. Of all the places to try out Drift mode in snow right next to a solid wall of concrete is way down near the bottom of my list of choices.![]()
You missed the take-away then! The driving dynamics of the R1T are so assuredly planted, that he has no fear of any walls. The torque vectoring allowed by the 4-motor setup is here, to turn any budding driving enthusiast into the next Ken Block.all I could see in that video was a HUGE concrete wall and the constant fear of back-stepping right into it with a R1T.
