Parking lot accident

I waited until after the repair was done to post. Almost 3 weeks ago someone backed into the truck while I was parked. I was in the truck when it happened. I blew the horn, but evidently too late to stop them. I did get a great video of the accident though. Below are pictures of the damage. Grand total for the repair was $9064.48 which includes towing to/from for calibration, a new hood and a new light bar. The truck looks as good as new.

Was the work done by Rivian, or a body shop, and did that shop have easy access to needed stuff without issue getting it? I guess if it took 3 weeks there was no super delay, or trouble finding a shop that would do the work....

It was done by a certified Rivian repair facility. I had to use them last year for a deer strike. They do good work and are pretty efficient.

Rivian doesn’t fix collisions. My area has a dozen Rivian certified shops.

I didn't know that Rivian Service Centers did not do body repair. Thanks for the heads up. My guess is that approved shops get access to needed codes Etc.

Yes. I have a drive for the RIvian. I blew the horn for 5 seconds, didn't help, but it captured the video. Here is the important part of the clip.

The driver said she had just been in a hit/run and it messed up her back up sensors. I would think a camera would have been ok.

Well, I backed up my R1T into a light post in the middle of a parking lot two years ago and the total cost for the insurance pay out was $21K - $16K to fix the truck and $5K for the light post. That was the Forest Green R1T in my signature.
