Sooo, when the hell is Rivian planning to tell customers that they aren't getting their R1s this year? It sure as hell doesn't look like anyone scheduled for the 4th qtr will get theirs.

So 10k Amazon vans and 15k R1Ts and R1Ss. I was hoping by some miracle I'd get my R1T this year, but doesn't seem likely. 15k will probably cover LEs and a couple late 2019/early 2020 Adventure orders. Those of us with July/September dates will likely get pushed back to early - mid 2023.

I think that's possible. The lucky ones will be those that end up with ideal configurations in ideal delivery locations.

But when trucks are being delivered this week without basic accessories ordered like cargo cross bars, you know they are just barely getting what they need to get these things out the door.

We will also continue significant investments in our next-generation vehicle platforms and in-vehicle technologies, including our proprietary 800-volt architecture which includes a new in-house family of drive units for both Dual and Quad-Motor configurations. This 800-volt architecture
also includes an integrated on-board charger, DC to DC converter, and DC to AC converter, where the power stages of the DC-AC and AC-DC are bi-directional and share semiconductors, magnetics, and the controller. We are also developing a heat pump-based thermal system for improved cold weather efficiency as well as a range of new battery packs including both high nickel and lithium iron phosphate (“LFP”) chemistries.

Once July rolls around, people with July/September will get pushed to Oct/Dec, and Oct/Dec will get pushed to 2023.

This is interesting because they seem to be on track with March/April deliveries given the deliveries recorded here - will be interesting to track how deliveries continue as we go into the later windows and see if people start to slip back.

Total operating expenses for Q4 2021 grew to $2,071 million, as compared to $353 million in Q4 2020.

so they have 1.5 years of runway....

It appears that the MaxPack R1S is dead in the water. They discuss the Standard pack and Dual Motor options as diversifying their portfolio. And on page 9 - they summarize all of the different configs. No MaxPack listed at *all* for R1S. Yet they list the Dual-motor configs that won't ship until 2023/2024. So MaxPack for R1S is either cancelled or not going to happen before Dual-motor configs.

I wonder how much are one offs to start production? As that is not sustainable without major revenue and they would burn through their cash in 18 months (plus the GA factory).
