Same boat. I was super happy to be in this window with a nov 2020 R1S preorder. With the lack of any real updates on the R1S I'm fairly certain I won't see it this year.

I am also in the July-September time frame - preorder date Aug 2020 for LE Rivian R1S, Silver/22ā€ rims/ocean interior.

The only complicating factor is I am in Canada. I checked with CS and they gave me a typical canned response that they are on track for July-September deliveries, which I highly doubt. An application with Transport Canada - our regulatory body has not been made yet.

If our US cousins get their July-Sept vehicles at the closer to the end of this year than I don’t see how we could get ours until Q1 2023 at the earliest. This is unfortunate as I am looking to replace my now out-of-warranty Tesla to avoid additional repair costs.

I have been tracking job postings up here and don’t see any for Guides/Service/Delivery jobs in the Toronto area or even the Province. I presume the Guides will be working remotely from Vancouver where I have seen postings. I would guess that the initial deliveries may take place with US staff who come up with the initial round of deliveries. CS did mention to me that a call was put out internally at Rivian for volunteers to come up to Canada to provide training for new hires.

Any thoughts or additional speculation regarding the fate of Canadian deliveries who have also received a July-Sept delivery window?

Interesting that this group has such a wide span (over a year apart in time order was placed) and it’s the first group where delivery spans more than 2 months. I’m a summer 2020 R1T so maybe I’ll actually get a vehicle but will be interesting to see successful they are at delivering the June/July.

Yeah this is kind of a catch all group. I think I placed my order in March 2020. I'm not confident that they can manufacture enough trucks this year to deliver to most of us. I suspect we will get an updated email in June with a new delivery window based on how the first 2 groups go.

We also don't know the percentage of pre-orders in the first few groups that may have cancelled for any number of reasons. We just see all the people here who are all taking their deliveries.

how do you know this for certain? TC cannot and will not tell you. Rivian likely wouldn’t either.

TC manufacture approval is a 6 week turnaround, basically a rubber stamp as it’s self declared (Have participated in this process, granted it was 15 years ago now)

FWIW I know of a couple people here in Winnipeg with LE preorders and the same estimated delivery as yours.

I ordered May 2021 and am in this group. I'll be shocked if anyone in this group see a delivery before March 2023.

Not sure I’ll still be looking for a truck with almost a year delay. I’m sure one of the BMW’s I ordered will be in by then.

I am a Nov 21 order date for an R1T and really don’t care if they deliver it in December or early 2023. Nothing else on the market inspires me right now, so I will just wait. I have a 3, and hope to take delivery of a Y (which I ordered last October) in June because of a growing family, and along with my Motorcycle, I will manage. Keep in mind, we are in the midst of a war that will only make things worse before it gets better.

Placed my order October 2020 (R1T - RB - BM - 20") and I too have this window.

I do feel good though about getting my order within this window. I believe that the 25k production number was understood when these delivery windows were announced.
I hope so, I wouldn’t think every reservation will convert to an order. Plus not everyone lives within a reasonable range of a service center and from what I recall that was a factor in delivery timing. Lastly they knew or at least had a strong indication of their production capacity prior to getting on the conference call last week. So ideally they didn’t roll out windows just to trash them 3 months later.

Seeing several in the May-Jun get configs locked today, I checked mine. I have a guide named and config locked! Now let's just see if I can have the patience to not call him before he calls me. It would be so much fun in this final step to have an "under-promise, over delivery by a month or two"!

Hoping I'm not far behind given that we're close geographically. My test drive is Saturday (can't wait), so I hope just being in the group invited to drive is some indication that I'm maybe, kind of, sort of, getting close. Possibly.

Is everyone feeling confident this window holds for most of us or do you think it will slide back in 2022 or maybe even 2023? Obviously I hope it holds because I really want the Rivian in this window, or maybe even sooner, but just some confirmation would be nice one way or another.

I can tell you alot of them have been getting delivered and alot of people have been contacted earlier than their window. If you look at the taken delivery thread on here https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/...ivians-owners-list-and-stats-enter-yours.978/ there are some people with June delivery windows with orders already delivered. I would say to be honest that these windows were modest estimations it appears and they are moving faster through them than anticipated.

This. I’m a July-Sept window, but spoke to my guide yesterday and I may have my truck next week. One huge caveat is that my original window was based on an El Cap/OC config. I subsequently switched to LG/BM after seeing them in person and that clearly impacted the timeline.
