I would really like to see it next to more big broncos. I have seen the pictures next to the red one but they were great shots.

Rivian R1T R1S Size matters? R1T vs Land Rover LR4 and Ram 1500 comparison B6B1F494-6632-4142-BEB5-40F00CE1A074

Hummer EV looks enormous. Saw my first one in North Dallas(Frisco area). Didn't even know they had any out. Yet to see a Rivian here in Dallas.

From what I saw online, the R1T is larger in every dimension than the LR4 and LR3. We’re aware that we’ll have to deal with the extra width of the R1 platform while on narrow trails.

edit: To be clear, I’m comparing the LR3/LR4 to the R1S since the widths are important in tight trails. The R1T is a lot longer, which also comes into play when maneuvering.

Sure does. I couldn't fit those other vehicles or something like the new Hummer EV down my local trails.
I know what you mean! Your FJ Cruiser is the same width as the LR4 and our LR3 so I’m concerned about the extra width on the Rivian. At least the 360-degree camera setup should help us steer clear of hazards.

How does the R1S cargo space compare with the LR4?

I don’t know if anyone has dimensions of a production R1S interior yet. Based on the exterior dimensions and the pictures of the interior I’ve seen the R1S seems to have a lot more room behind the third row.

Has anyone released the track width on the R1T/S? Really curious to see how wide that is.

Edit: Motor Trend has the R1T listed as 68.1" front and rear. That's almost 5" wider than my FJ stock (63.2"), so probably pretty close to what I am now with wider wheels and 35s.

2016 LR4 is listed at 63.2" F, 63.5" R track width. (same dimensions given for the LR3)

As a reference, the Hummer H2 track width is only 1.3" wider at 69.4"... Never realized how wide the Rivians were.

A little bit of a digression, I apologize, but wasn't the R1S upped to 202" in length at some point last year? I see that it's back to 200.8" now. Maybe it's something as simple as including/excluding the tow hooks in the measurement?

I wish I knew. I’m just relying on Google search until we get an owner’s manual for the R1S as a PDF. I assume that will be the definitive source of specifications.

There was/is a white R1T in the Frisco/The Colony area late last week. And I saw the HEV at Scheels as well
