I love them, but not quite enough to sacrifice the free LE upgrade. If I was paying for the upgraded wheels out of pocket I'd definitely add the extra $$$.

Really wish they'd let us pay the difference.
Yeah for sure not worth sacrificing the LE incentive.

I think it is likely very close (a bit lighter) to my 2019 Chevy Bolt in Slate Grey Metallic. No real blue, but my iPhone makes it a bit blue in certain sunlight situations, grey everywhere else
First is bluish, but other two are more accurate

I personally love it, but dang I would be getting two EVs with the same color…that’s dicey

I'm not sure this will help resolve any debates... even in these photos, you can see the chameleon nature of this paint... but here are some rainy morning photos near my house.

Looks really nice. Thanks for sharing. I still can't decide if it's for me or not.

See guys? I was even saying the Bolt probably skews more blue in my post. If the blue offends you really need to see it in person and guess what, you're also occasionally going to have to see your car in a photo, too.

See what you see, if you like it, buy it, if you don't, don't buy it, other people will and both Rivian and everyone else will be happy :)

...or we could just start the Limestone tire slashing campaign now I guess. LMK.

I have not seen it IRL and that's kind of why I'm not engaging in some of this. Like I know a cell phone's standard software, Android or Apple, doesn't matter, is going to to do certain things to an image. The DSLR? Model dependent, is it raw, so many questions. If he shot it raw with no correction then it's going to be overtly flat. Also different models of camera do different things to color.

If you say that was shot with an iPhone and DSLR, my only response is, "Yes."

I think the closest thing to the truth here is the OP, light will change how you feel about it. That's pretty much 100% universally true when you get into these, "what does this color really look like" with cars since like the 90s.
You are right, some people are trying to evaluate the color. But what I don't understand is this. You are present with two photographs taken by the same person. One closer to the OPs photo's in color and another that is much more grey.

The person that took the photos insists that in person, when he took the two pics, the color GREATLY (his emphasis) resembled the image that was more grey. But you continue to insist the color is going to be more like the OPs pics.

What I'd like to understand is why you believe that. I wouldn't take the trouble to further respond, but I am currently configured for Limestone.

Stipulations: Everything will indeed be just fine. Colors are best evaluated in person, like the person that took two very different photos and noted which one is what he saw in person.

What color interior did you get? I’m really not feeling the black because of the dash, though I totally get some will love it, and I have two little kids so the white is a non-starter. So here I am with forest edge in my configurator.. but wondering if it looks ridiculous with limestone.

We're mostly all in our 30s-50s and successful and have looked a lot of cars in our lives, let's not pretend this is a new phenomenon. :CWL:

All I'm saying is much like the nonsensical colors above (sorry '90s teal) the OP is correct in pointing out it is a "chameleon" because of how it catches the light and how the camera interprets it. Also like the above nonsense, any color that you begin to look at super close like this is going to suffer from this kind of "what color is it really." These arguments are oooold.

The only firm opinion I have is that this is over-inflated to be a big deal. Several people have pointed to the Bolt as a facsimile, including myself, honestly I think that's pretty pretty darn close to LS.

We've been looking at pre-production renders for a very long time, this color mismatch from expectations is mostly on us. If you got LS before seeing the pictures of it IRL, you're the one guy that gets to complain if you're unhappy

This is really my last question for my configuration. What interior?
BM - will definitely work with Limestone. SAFE
OC - striking. would definitely match but TOO Pretty?
FE - love the wood color. Like the green. Will the green of the interior pick up the green undertones of the paint and just look smashing? Or will it look over done/ ridiculous with the NOT blue tint shown in pics.

My Explore is currently configured in Glacier White. I need to see Limestone in person as it’s my #2 color choice and MAY become my first choice. It looks sharp with the black 20” forged wheel option!

Having seen Limestone in person and FE interior in person, but only by peering through windows. I'm leaving my configuration as Limestone with FE.

I think all the interior colors will be just fine with Limestone. OC is light/neutral grey with dark grey accents and the washed wood. Limestone with OC will be like a white on white Tesla. Same effect in a light grey tone vs. bright white. I might be tempted to go that route. My wife really wants the OC interior...

My concern is also that OC is too pretty. I would like a more rugged interior with high end sound. But in my experience with black interiors and a glass roof is that lighting is not ideal at night. I don't like the black interior in my Tesla.

I'm low miles and grown kids, so a light interior should work for me. I'm interested in the green interior, but it seems a poor choice for a long term commitment.
