It’s under the adventure gear section just below underbody shieldGot mine reinstated with the same price as before but I don’t see an option to add hooks for $300 to the Explore R1S. I only see of road package for $1700. Other options and pricing are mainly the same as before. Deposit refunded. No email yet.
My Understanding is that it is the other way around. The new pricing is $72,500. The old pricing that is honored was $70.000The Explore is $2500 cheaper. It was $72500 now $70000 and I don’t understand why.

Hi -----,
It’s official: Your pre-March 1, 2022 preorder pricing is now reflected correctly on your Rivian Account Page and in the configurator.
As a reminder:
- You can reconfigure your preordered vehicle and maintain pre-March 1 pricing.
- You can swap between R1T and R1S and maintain pre-March 1 pricing.
- Rivian accessories are also available at pre-March 1 pricing.
While you’re in the configurator, you might notice some changes to options. We heard from many of you that you wanted more flexibility, so that’s what these options are designed to do.
R1T Adventure and Explore packages now have three tonneau cover options: manual, powered or none. The default for these packages is no tonneau cover. If you select the tonneau cover associated with your prior build, it will match your old pricing. The powered tonneau cover comes standard on Launch Edition.
The Off-Road Upgrade has been split up so you can select the Reinforced Underbody Shield and Tow Hooks as separate options. Tow Hooks come standard on Launch Edition and Adventure Package.
NOTE: if you’d like to configure a post-March 1 option like Dual-Motor AWD or Standard battery pack, reach out to the Customer Engagement Center or your Guide, and we’ll walk you through it. Deliveries on these options are planned to begin in 2024.
As a reminder, terms and details can be found in the Preorder Agreement.
Feel free to reach out to us with any questions. We appreciate hearing from you.
Until next time...
Tony Caravano
Head of Rivian Customer Engagement
This is a good spreadsheet. My Understanding is that it is the other way around. The new pricing is $72,500. The old pricing that is honored was $70.000
If you used to see $72,500 on your account before and see $70,000 now, it may have something to do with your options.

Thanks for this. I didn’t have a screenshot of my original order (I have one now!). I had thought the increases were for the motors, batteries, paint and accessories. I didn’t recall base prices shifting as well. But thanks for the spreadsheet. My Understanding is that it is the other way around. The new pricing is $72,500. The old pricing that is honored was $70.000
If you used to see $72,500 on your account before and see $70,000 now, it may have something to do with your options.

Similar situation here and I find I'm not getting many of the emails others are posting from Tony Caravano. Are you getting those?I cancelled one of two orders, I'd kept my Max Pack, but not the R1S. The R1S hasn't come back, but the R1T Max Pack now has the correct price.
Well i am sure all those deposit holders helped with the IPO price.Yeah, especially considering a Model Y long range is now $63K ish. 66.7 is too little for what you are getting IMO.
Rivian gave up a billion dollars rolling back the price hike. That concerns me.
I’m fairly certain when they’re ready to roll everyone will get those motors anyways due to the cost savings Rivian realizes from producing in house.Well i am sure all those deposit holders helped with the IPO price.
Also, Rivian could add an option for next year that adds the newer motors. I bet a lot of people would upgrade to get even more power.
There are significant advantages waiting until 2023, assuming you don't need a vehicle today. That advantage includes not having a unique vehicle. I've been in that situation and it was only fun for a couple of weeks. After that time period it felt like mild harassment. But perhaps I'm grumpier than most when I have some place to go.I was ready to change my R1S to an R1T like the day this all went down and I feel like 3 years has passed since then. 1 month. LOL.
Configuring it right, waiting patiently till 2073...
Not that I've seen. I've reached out a while back and they said that they would reinstate it, so I'm not overly worried.Similar situation here and I find I'm not getting many of the emails others are posting from Tony Caravano. Are you getting those?
