The glass chips yes...I feel most of the paint issues I found are from the factory paint job/damage during installs.

You could call Tire Rack.
Well, yes I could. :)

Or I could wait for a user with the problem currently and Rivian's attention to report back. If I understand correctly, Rivian is working with a tire shop that can't change/replace the tire for some reason (TPMS?). I'm curious why, so that I can be prepared.

Employees at large chains often don't have current information. And especially in this case, where very few vehicles have been delivered nationally I don't think reaching out to Tire Rack is likely to get a definitive result. Most certainly not if I can't even describe exactly what the problem jjswan33 is experiencing.

I've no doubt that if you call any tire shop and ask if they can change a tire on X truck they will say, "sure".

Lots of chips from transportation it seems. Really think they should be coverings these trucks with reusable materials.
Some of the chips look like tools or something being dragged across areas during assembly. I have a small dent on the sill of my driver door that looks like they dropped the point of a screwdriver on it....

Please let us know should you find out more about this issue. We really need to know if a local Tire Rack (for example) can't readily change a Rivian tire effectively.
So just got off the phone with a service advisor. Apparently the local tire shop wasn't applying enough pressure to overcome the bead lock and were not comfortable applying a higher pressure so that was the issue, not TPMS as I understood earlier.

Thanks; nice that the shop was conservative. They probably didn't want to pay for a wheel. It was indeed hard to imagine a tire that couldn't be changed!

In any case, it's always good when something becomes a "non-problem".

Rivian delivered my new tire this afternoon. I had to give them just a little bit of grief for their choice of vehicle :). You lucky folks getting PDX test drives using all of their trucks.

Haha.. exactly the grief I gave them
Maybe that's why Rivian named their philantropy "Forever"....cuz that's how long it will take to make a difference delivering things like that. :CWL:

With the wind noise you all are getting is it above 70 mph or below?
It’s most noticeable above maybe 45mph. The passenger window frame is noticeably misaligned with pillar and roof vs drivers side which is flush.

What do you mean misaligned? I have the wind noise as well...everything looks in good alignment but the lower front corner of the trim may stick out bit further on the passenger side than it does on the drivers for me. Looking at it though everything looks like it's in the right place.

The passenger window frame is ‘pushed in’ vs the window pillar. You can run your finger along it and feel the mismatch. Driver’s side is flush. This is the issue I believe.

I would have loved 20 minutes with his Macbook Pro as well as access to all of his tools/toys in his service truck.

Good to know there is an ethernet port under the dash. ?
