I think it's interesting that this is possible, but I don't think it's an improvement on the color. But these things are all subjective and they clearly did a nice job with it.

Now I'd like to see a Limestone truck wrapped in a matte finish and see what that does to the color!

You're right about that. They should be fairly easy to reapply anytime the owner chooses. A cut-around might work well with clear/gloss, but with Stealth, my PPF guy said I'd likely notice the paint showing at some point where the margins were cut. He also wanted to limit the use of very sharp instruments right on the paint. Accordingly, a heat gun and floss were used to remove every piece of the badging before covering all of the LG paint with Xpel Stealth (satin).

My specialist even used schematics that Rivian was kind enough to forward to allow him to carefully take off the inner door panels and remove the mirrors. This made it possible for him to cover the door skin in one sheet, without the seam that would have been required to circle the door mirror posts and bring the cuts back together above the posts, had they not been removed. Another great side effect of having the door panels off was being able to apply tint all the way to the very bottom of the side window glass and then shave the edges to eliminate loose spots. It's much easier than trying to force it down and not be able to trim it, as the bottom edge of the windows sits below the upper lip of the door.

All of the Piano Black pillars, bumpers, mirrors, and the rear spoiler pieces are now covered in clear Xpel. My guy said he's ready to reapply the badging anytime, and I'll likely have it done soon. I think the Rivian badging looks great, but I had to bust the R1T out of the shop for our Portland get-together last night before it could be reapplied. They'll use an automotive/marine double-sided tape to reapply them right to the Stealth PPF. Very limited cutting was needed (for relief cuts only on very curvy items, like the side mirrors and the rear spoiler) to entirely cover all of the LG paint.

With the lone badging being the Compass logo on the frunk, this is truly a stealthy vehicle. At least temporarily.....

For now, it's fun watching passing motorists and pedestrians have that same look on their face as my Lab, Abby, used to have when she saw another dog on TV. It was always a look of excitement and great confusion. There's a reason we called her "Abby-normal".

Another owner that did the same Stealth told me that the shop did not want to remove the hood badge as they feared it was not only applied with adhesive but also clips and they didn’t want to remove the hood logo for fear of busting the clips. (No access under hood). Did they leave the hood logo on for you do you know? And if they removed it, were there clips? (This May also apply to the R1S with the same logo on the “C” pillar).

My understanding is that they are all applied the same way (with double-sided tape). I'll have videos soon enough, but I think there are some out there showing the smooth surface of the hood under the Compass logo while prepping it for PPF.

Yeah looks like someone put some old DP90 on it. Should have done that instead. Only like $150 in materials and that shit will last until the end of time.

Love the debadged rig with a compass on the bonnet only. Maybe just do another compass on the tailgate and call it good.

Have always debadged vehicles but the recent generation rear name badges look like billboards and are hideous as they cover nearly the width of rear lids.
