Garage door opener activated in OTA update

How do we get notified of software updates? I got my Rivian Saturday and the field tech had thought my R1T had the function. When he looked into it, it turns out the update with the garage door is scheduled to push 5/2.

You should just get a notification in your truck on the center display. You'll be looking for version 2022.15.

Someone on IG posted screenshots, but not the release notes. That was yesterday morning though and they are an employee.

The two gates I've tried to add have either learned the opener but failed to actually open the gate or failed to even learn from a working remote. Anyone else had the same issues?

Had no issues with our gate that has a liftmaster controller. The instructions miss the step of hitting the learn button on the controller itself, but that can be done after the learn process in the truck is completely done.

actually, the garage door opener at my family's mountain house wouldn't learn either, so clearly there's a limited range of equipment that's supported, but maybe the hardware is there and they just need to implement other types.

I was attempting to add two liftmaster openers and the truck is able to "learn" the remote but once I get to and press the test button, the wizard crashes/disappears and the last screen I was at before the garage door screen comes up.

Also can't learn our remotes for office locations which is a challenge (can't really access the office easily otherwise)....trying to find a solution since the dedicated remote range is low so we have to hop out of the car and walk up to the gate to get it to actuate.
