No Drill License Plate - Snap Plate by EveryAmp

For those of us in which the State requires a license plate in the front but you don't want to Drill holes into the front of your 75k+ truck.

I just received my Snap Plate. It's super easy to install and you can remove and reinstall whenever you need to. Its Spring loaded to move the clamping piece. It is very snug (which should help to limit vibration) and will have to be worked into place the first couple times.

It doesn't block the Camera and you can't tell its there.
Nicest part If I don't want it on there Just push the actuator to the left and off it goes.

I've got one as well, it's great and i highly recommend it. It shows up a bit on the 360 camera but the Rivian front plate mount would as well so i think they need to change the software on the truck to remedy it.

This gives an example but IT'S NOT THIS OBVIOUS ANYMORE, I had a frame around the plate and removed it making it look much smaller.

No Rattles yet But I do leave it off most of the time only if I'm heading into LA or parking at a patrolled area I've gotten a fix it ticket a couple times on other cars and have learned when to install it and when it doesn't matter.

Is this a prototype? Will they be making an injection molded product? It just 3d printed?

Yeah for $110 I’d expect it to be injection molded. Not sure I’m willing to pay that much for a 3d printed product.
Wonder if they have the ability to just pay for the stl file so we can print it ourselves

cheaper. The word you're looking for is cheaper.

I think it's that price to intentionally throttle sales due to manufacturing capability.

The funny part about that is injection molding is cheaper than 3D printing as a manufacturing technique if you order a high enough volume. Last I was doing custom physical parts ordering the breaking point was in the hundreds of units... not enormous numbers.

I would not call this cheap material. We do 3D printing at our factory. for several purposes. 3d printing is not what it was 5 years ago you can inject several high strength materials into the print process like Alumide, Polyamide, Carbon Fiber, and Kevlar. We use it to make welding Jigs, R&D Forming jigs, working prototypes and specialized tools. It is very strong when used with these additives and the density type.

It does not fill cheap it has some weight to it I can't tell what additives where used for strength and durability. but for low volume runs this would be the best option as injection molding can get very expensive, and unless you have the volume it doesn't pencil out.

I think they are starting out the right way as we know there are not 50k trucks on the road for potential buyers for their product yet.

I took pictures of the 360 view with and without snap plate.

the top photo is with the plate the lower without for me doesn't make that much of a difference.
If you're that close to something you're probably hitting it already as the image distortion makes it difficult to determine the exact corner edge for precision.
