So no email for me. A rep from the distribution center texted me. Scheduled me to pick up my vehicle this Sunday in El Segundo!!! I texted my guided to inform her of the schedule pickup since my license was still pending. She was unaware, of the scheduled delivery but was able to finalize my documents.
I also got a text from rep at El Segundo saying I could pick up on Sunday, but opted for home delivery on Friday, June 10. Since this is my first EV I don't want to practice driving it on the 405! lol.

Did you order the Rivian charger? Did you receive yours yet? I'm hoping mine shows up soon. I asked my guide and she doesn't have that information.

No didn't order a charger. The one that comes with it is all we need so we wired for 240. I did order a spare and floor mats so will see if they show up with truck!

I picked up my truck last monday (10 days ago) and my charger showed up yesterday.

Im sure this has been mentioned but I feel like my delivery was expedited by choosing the (not included) black wheels with my LE. Went pretty standard on everything else though. LOVE the truck. I imagine if you order a decked out and loaded Explorer edition you will probably get placed near the front of the line. I dont blame Rivian for doing that either... better that they sell models that actually turn a profit since the LE is probably a break-even proposition for them at best.

Mine showed up 2 days before my first scheduled delivery (3rd time was the charm). It came via UPS - you can signup for delivery tracking in the UPS app so you get notified when it’s preparing / shipped.

I had an electrician wire a 60amp circuit to a box and then left me with extra conduit and wire to hardwire the box myself.

By whom? I mean... pictures or it didn't happen, right? :)
Not sure how accurate this is; just came across this on my instagram feed, but a LA Silver R1S on delivery truck allegedly in the Los Angeles area posted 4 days ago.
Trying my best not to get my hopes up.... ?

My R1T LE was delivered today. Seems a good fit for my driveway and garage. Came fully charged, ~ 36 miles on the odometer, though without spare tire, cargo bar, floor mats, wrist band. Did get the charger a few days ago, had been begging my guide from the first call. VIN in the low 4400's.

Fun fact: Large Papa John’s pizzas fit quite well in the gear tunnel, lay flat, but fit just right, w/ no front to back movement possible. The coefficient of friction for the rubber mat seems good, the boxes also showed no evidence of left right shifting. You still notice a little pizza smell in the cab, though.

There's a link in my sig to a way too verbose timeline from guide email to delivery.

pinged my guide after 3 weeks of silence after signing the PBA. Still waiting for vehicle assignment. Guessing they've moved on from LG/FE batch, so who knows when they'll get around to me :(.

I do know if they try to squeeze me in on the last week of june to meet Q2 numbers, I'll delay till july to get the $4500 IL tax credit.

It was 4 and a half weeks from when I signed my PBA to receiving my 8 step email. I would definitely try to delay a few weeks to receive a $4,500 tax credit.

I've finally taken delivery! Had a bit of an issue with my fob - somehow the data for my truck and fob pairing got mangled and the truck no longer recognized the fob. Had a tech there and several back at Normal working on the issue for an hour but didn't get it solved (though did determine it's just a cloud data issue). So, ultimately they sent me on my way with a promise to update my guide and to resolve the fob issue which would allow me to pair it on my own.

Kinda sucks because I don't like keeping bluetooth on my phone running all the time, but I'll just do that or use the keycards until the fob issue is resolved.

No spare, no wristband, no accessories, but that was expected. I noted a very slight misalignment in the hood, and as others have seen, the passenger side near the front has an issue with the alignment/stamping of panels and the glass roof. I made the delivery specialist note it so it could be corrected later, if they're going to be doing so. Other than that, everything looked great. No paint issues, no other gap issues, everything in working order, etc.

Even having had a test drive previously, I'm blown away. It feels even more refined now than it did then. I think they've dialed back the power available a little, but the ride is much smoother than it was even then.

The only problem I have now is parking it in my tiny spot in the parking garage. The current spot may not be tenable. I think I did a 13 point turn to get it parked :CWL:

I took it to a friend's so he could check it out and let him drive it for a bit. He couldn't shut up about how amazing it was from every perspective. It was super fun to see someone else as excited about it as I am.

Congratulations. Be sure to post again when something goes wrong with it!

No, just kidding, please don't. I hope it's one of the many perfect ones. ?

So I took delivery of my R1T on Sunday at the El Segundo, CA center. Everything kind of went smoothly.

First they inspected my trade (2004 Lexus RX). No issues. I'm sure I could have gotten more for the trade but I didn't want to deal with it.

Now on to my R1T!!!

Exterior - everything thing look great. Paint was perfect. I small amount of orange peel but not to noticeable. The only issue was the alignment of the driver side gear tunnel door, sticking out slightly. And very very minor front door stick out like a mm more where they meet with the rear doors.
Guide showed me how to request for service and said type panel alignment for service. See said the will go over the whole vehicle to make it perfect.

Interior - steer wheel or wheel alignment is off. So I will have them check that out as well.

NOW for the scary part. After a quick test ride around the block my guide asked me if I had anymore questions. I said no everything was good. She left to get ready for the next appointment. I got out of my R1T to take a picture. Returned to my vehicle to leave the facility and I had a yellow battery fault error flashing on the screen "service vehicle immediately".

I was like noooo. I called my guide she came out with a tech. The tech had the vehicle for little over an hour. After he took it for a 10 mile test drive. The tech informed me 12 volt battery wasn't properly installed. But everything is fine now.

2 days later and everything is fine. Still haven't heard from Rivian about the alignment. I do want to get it fixed soon so I can get the car PPF.

That sucks, but that is some awesome customer service. They could have held it for days.
