New email from Rivian. Kicks the can down the road for updates on timing of R1S over the next two weeks. So Rivian couldn’t even meet a self imposed deadline it set 6 days earlier. Garbage operation.

As we continue to ramp R1 production, we'd like to update our R1S preorder holders on the progress we're making at our plant in Normal.
We are scaling both the R1T and R1S as fast as possible without compromising quality. We know how important it is for all of you to have better clarity on your R1S delivery timing and that many of you are making plans around your delivery windows. With this, we are working through supply chain challenges and the ripple impacts on our production ramp up that may affect some of the delivery windows we previously communicated. Much like we did with the R1T, we are focusing much of the early R1S production on employee deliveries to ensure the best possible ownership experience for everyone from day one.
Over the next two weeks, we'll share delivery windows with R1S customers who have updated delivery timing in 2022, or who previously had windows in 2022 that will be shifting later. For all other preorder holders, expect updates on your delivery timing through the end of summer. As we have communicated before, delivery timing is dependent on many factors including delivery address, configuration and preorder date – we are working to provide as much clarity as possible understanding some of the challenges with supply chain predictability.
We’re grateful for your continued support. Let us know if you have questions.

Received a few minutes ago. Says nothing except that the “this week” email is now “over the next two weeks”.

Here it is..:

So typical Rivian, classic example of nothing new to report. We have no idea when you will receive your car or truck….

So, if I understand this correctly, pushing back the timeframe to communicate "updated delivery timing" by an additional 2 weeks?

Monday email said end of this week - that correct?

I was reading this hoping to see something like, 'we know you were expecting more information this week, we're sorry but here's the latest'. Just a tiny bit of acknowledgement of the community frustrated.

This feels like a direct response to all the posts in this forum about the definition of “end of week”…i suppose they technically didn’t go full radio silence into Sunday…but this was a nothing burger

What level of hubris or incompetence does it take to send an email Monday promising an update “this week” to follow up on Saturday afternoon to say “over the next two weeks…”?

How do you send that email Monday without 110% confidence you will send updates “this week”?

Totally outrageous.

“we'd like to update our R1S preorder holders on the progress we're making at our plant in Normal.”

Proceeds to provide ABSOLUTELY NO UPDATES!

I guess that this is actually new and clarified … “Much like we did with the R1T, we are focusing much of the early R1S production on employee deliveries to ensure the best possible ownership experience for everyone from day one.” Confirms that employee deliveries are first, and I’m all good with that. I don’t have the time to debug the vehicle for them!

This is getting ridiculous … “if you think you know, it may or may not be the same, you’ll have to wait to find out, maybe … and if you never knew, welcome to the club, we can’t tell you either”.

I get that it’s hard, but all the more reason they need a little more competence in their PR and CX department.

These are self imposed debacles. I am a first-half 2023 delivery window holder. When they sent out the email last week, I was expecting some sort of update on my window later this week. Now, it says by the end of summer. Here I was minding my business when that email came out last week giving me some hope of an update to now realize I have to actually wait 4 more months for it. “Thanks for waiting for this update… now some of you wait 2 more weeks and the rest of you wait 4 more months.” Good one, guys. ?

I’m honestly just mad at myself for expecting any type of transparency from this email.
