Anyone else experiencing this issue? I submitted a ticket a week and a half ago and haven’t heard anything. I didn’t realize how significant the fitment issue on my doors were until my wife pointed it out, and it only seems to be on one side:

Your driver's side is normal from what I've seen. Not many are fully flush. Passenger side...a little pronounced for sure.

Rear passenger door is like that on a lot of trucks. I think it's ultimately an issue with their stamping. They brought mine in a little bit, but having done that makes it stick out slightly at the top corner. Rivian service guy said they were working on a new set of door hinges that would pull the door in closer to fix it, but they can't completely adjust it out without it.

Makes sense, I wonder if it will be a voluntary recall or if it’s even really an issue. It’s definitely very pronounced on the passenger side and I can’t unsee it now

I have no idea how they will end up handling it. I'm just hoping I don't end up having my paint sandblasted away before then. It would be a huge goodwill thing to offer the fix for free and contact those that have the issue.

The other issues I’ve noticed are the AC is extremely loud and it doesn’t seem like the outer vents work very well, and then the front driver triangle window is very loud at speed. I put in a ticket for the window to be fixed, but the AC I don’t know what can be done about that, it’s very intrusive sounding. Sounds like a vacuum winding up.

Nothing terrible so far though, so I feel like I’ve been lucky, knock on wood

Try turning off the vent and turning back on. Seems the volume of air increases to more normal levels.

Agreed. Sometimes that side vent just doesn't seem to change direction left/right. When that happens, I set the defog on and then off and it seems to reset the position sensors. The volume of air seems to increase as well.

Something wonky is definitely going on with those side vents. They seem to re adjust toward the doors after a period of time for some reason. I wish I could just manually point them at my face and be done.

Did you have to do that once or do you have to do that often? I will definitely try that and see if it works

Yeah I was driving my dad around today, and he said there’s no air coming out of the side vents and I kept pointing them in different directions, it was definitely a very minimum amount from either side vent.

I have door issues on both sides and other panel misalignments. Submitted a ticket last week and spoke to Rivian service today. Told I’m in queue but no scheduled service yet. Will share more as it happens.

More often than I should. But it's easy to do whenever the vents aren't acting like I would expect.

Has anyone noticed how loud the car is from the outside anytime it's unlocked? Even if i turn off the HVAC on the inside, the car keeps roaring like a jet. It definitely sounds like the HVAC compressor, but it's incredibly annoying if you're showing someone the car (common occurrence with the rivian lol)

It worked! Thanks for the advice!
