I don't think this has been posted yet, but wanted to plug a new R1T Channel I came across randomly that has some entertaining and very watchable content on a couple's (Alex and Victoria) experience with their R1T.

Nothing super scientific, but real-world scenarios including road trip range, off-roading, charging experiences, and tent (non-RIVIAN) and accessory experiences.

So...just watched their latest video where Victoria ends up needing to use the R1T First Aid Kit.

Spoiler alert: She's an ICU nurse and she is not loving the kit.

First and only review I have seen of the kit and apparently RIVIAN really dropped the ball. She provides great info for what you should be looking to stock your kit with.

The extra kit or the regular one?

Medical people's opinion's on first aid kits are more argumentative than gun nuts on upper receiver blocks selection.

There is no “dropping the ball” here. It’s a DIN standard kit, required in Europe and other places which require a first aid kit. its contents are a regulatory thing.

It’s very peculiar that Rivian included one. All the European mfgs omit them in north a,Erica usually.

Yeah, but I will trust an ICU nurse over a gun nut 10 out of 10 times.

I'm not that kind of Doctor, but even I wasn't impressed with what I saw. No ointments and an inexplicably excessive amount of gauze. Very odd.

Except the RIVIAN kit is missing many of the items in the standard DIN kit that you just linked to.

Update: never mind - I can't read good.

Update 2: I have a kit that came with our Hyundai Elantra and it has many more useful items in it, including antibacterial ointments and pain relievers such as aspirin/tylenol

My sister is a retired surgical nurse. Her first aid kit looks like a MASH unit's go bag. You can't win in a discussion with her in trying to pick something smaller, because, yeah, if you need to perform an appendectomy on yourself while out adventuring then the supplied kit just ain't up to snuff.

That's fair. My brother is an ER nurse and he's the same way. But, that kit is oddly put together considering what you would get in a drug store.

No pain relievers
No antibacterial ointments
No wound wash
No chemical ice-packs
No burn ointment

Those are all in a kit I have gotten from Target. Now - it looks like the expensive Field Kit has a lot more stuff in it. Maybe RIVIAN just wants you to level up and went with the standard DIN kit to have something.

Maybe people forget that the kit is only there to patch up wounds after an accident while waiting for emergency services. Why would it include antibacterial ointments or aspirin?
In some European countries, we also get a reflective jacket to be visible when stopped on the side of the road and standing outside of the vehicle (or demonstrating/rioting if you’re in France).

I'm pretty sure this is what the kit in my ID.4 was. Basically sole bandages and hazard gear.
