Locked out of my Rivian R1T

My vehicle was listed in my rivian app 5 minutes ago. And now it’s not. So I can’t unlock my car. I left my wallet inside my vehicle which has my key card. Waiting for Rivian to perform a remote unlock. I called support and it sounds like it happening to a lot of people.

WTH, same here, my wife is out with the truck, can't get home and 30 minutes away from me...this is NUTS. All my info is deleted from the app????

Just had the same issue here. My wife can now get in without setting up her phone again.
I have to setup my phone again.

Always bring a secondary way of getting into a vehicle. Phone as a key can fail for any vehicle.

I just troubleshooted this with Service. You need to uninstall and reinstall your app, then re-pair your phone as a key.

Yep, I've actually been bringing the Fob and a keycard with me at all times. The card because it is going to permanently stay in my wallet and be used for Valet. The Fob may eventually be left home once I'm comfortable the card is enough backup.

I did all that and it didn’t work. Still said I didn’t own a Rivian.
hopefully they come out with something about this, being an IT guy this it isn’t acceptable to just remove vehicles from peoples accounts.

Same with me, Although it got fixed by itself while I waited to customer support. The customer rep confirmed that there might be a app service outage which might have caused this temporary removal. Looks like it started to get back now.

I think that's a pretty short leash for it to be unacceptable to have any software bugs/hiccups....Going to be a painful ownership experience if so.

I totally accept software hiccups, that a daily thing. I don’t accept key associations being removed without owner permission and then having to re-set them back up again.

How would you propose the software bug ask for your permission?? I've known them to be particularly rude little creatures.

In all seriousness, it wasn't a key association issue, it was a complete account/ownership issue. My online account page even changed, it had nothing to do with keys specifically.

Totally get it, just wish my profile was still on the car so I could at least get into it.

Yep, get it. As was said earlier, I'd just put a keycard in your wallet for situations like this, and to give to a valet. I'd be willing to bet this happens again at some point, or some other issue with the same outcome.

It could even be something as simple as your phone crapping out, nothing to do with Rivian. In that case you'd really be hosed. I think they can remote unlock, but I wonder if Rivian can give you ability to drive remotely.....This could be a use for a PIN to drive function. Owners could preemptively give Rivian permission to remote unlock, but require a PIN to drive.
