Spotify app is a mess

As much as I enjoy having Spotify built in, the execution seems a bit lacking so far. Not sure if it's just me, but the app does not seem to sync at all. Any other device I use Spotify on will show my recently played and has some logical organisation to my library. That includes showing things I have played in my R1T. In the truck, recently played shows nothing. It seems to have no memory of anything played ever (in the truck or otherwise). It also seems to have a totally random sort order when I look at my library. It's not alphabetical or recent and I cannot seem to figure out how to resort it. Has anyone gotten Spotify to behave any better?

I’m having the same behavior and even my playlist are totally messed up. But it’s only on the truck, all other devices are fine. My playlists on the truck were fine for about a week, now I can see the top level of my playlist but clicking on one just takes me to a list with no songs displayed, just what appears to be my last few lists I’ve played. Almost totally unusable at the moment. Support said the latest 2022.23.5 might fix it, it didn’t…

Exactly my experience. Spotify is a disaster so far.

I haven't had issues. I love the app. But I typically use voice to select what I am going to play and haven't dug down deep into my playlist on the Rivian app. I really wish I could have more than one account linked though.

Spotify is bad. Rivian‘s integration is poor. Alexa is downright garbage.

I could live with the poo Spotify. But Alexa not letting me request songs/artists is easily the worst part of my truck.

I use Alexa to request songs/artists and albums all the time. Sometimes Alexa dorks the name but it has been good for the most part. Now with navigation Alexa/Mapbox is absolutely horrible.

Alexa doesn’t work for music for me. It alternates between telling me I have to download the Spotify app (I already have it) or that I must upgrade my subscription (I have premium)

Alexa has been all over the map for me. It seems totally disconnected from the system.

Music: Most of the time it works well, but not always. Sometimes it uses Spotify, sometimes Amazon Music, sometimes it doesn't work at all. It also seems to randomly select versions of songs without caring what you actually say (ie it'll pick a cover even if you name the artist). Finally, it occasionally just decides to play nothing. It will reply saying "playing...." and then silence. Some issues are expected, but it just seems sub-par.

Phone: This rarely works entirely right for me. The source seems to be that there is no connection between the Alexa contact list and the Bluetooth one from my phone. So when I tell it to call XYZ's mobile/home/etc it'll tell me it doesn't have one for them. What's especially annoying about that is that it just picks a number it has in that case instead of asking "should I call home/mobile/etc instead?"

Nav: This one has the lowest success rate of them all. I usually just type in what I want now as Alexa screws it up way to often.

Agreed. I generally listen to music a ton and the audio system in the R1T was a nice selling point for me. The experience has been a disappointment. It feels like a chore to find an play music a lot of the time. I also really miss satellite radio. Just being able to put on a station I know and not think about picking something (regardless of where I am) is something I find i'm really missing. Using it via my phone works, but it's a bit of a pain.

I manually re-synced them in the Alexa app today. Hopefully that will help.

Yea…. Go to settings > apps > Alexa.

Sorry. Should have said that I checked and that was already set. Also, I toggled it off/on again just to be sure.

Well, my truck was late to the party in getting the latest 2022.23.05. After updating it hosed up my Alexa - Spotify connection and there doesn't seem to be a way to get it fixed. My guide says they are making leadership aware.
