Picked an R1T CY, FE, 20AT from the R1 Shop on 7/6 and got a Vin 887x. Waiting for step 8 to unlock. Got the charger delivered 7/9.

I cracked and snagged one from the shop that didn't match my config at all. Vin 843X. Finished steps 1-7 late Friday afternoon, hoping to see some movement on step 8 tomorrow. My guide confirmed that it is in Normal.

I had that thought, but since everyone else was doing it I did it as well, haha. No idea what benefit it provides me, if any.

Because if someone's truck has issues, and they go to resell it, don't want anyone knowing it was that one.
