Well I had placed an order for a BMW i4 and iX earlier this year when I didn't think I was going to get my Rivian anytime soon. Well I ended up getting my R1T delivered at the end of July after I changed the wheels from 22" to 21". I forgot about the BMW's since I wasn't contacted by the dealer to confirm my builds, but today I got an email saying that the iX was in port at Baltimore and should be at the dealer by the end of the month. I was very confused and the dealer said they tried to contact me to finalize my build, but I never responded......so I'm not sure what happened there. Well with the recent tax changes, the BMW is now effectively $7500 more expensive than it was 5 days ago, plus I'm loving the R1T. I told the BMW dealer to keep me posted and I can always go check out the iX to see it in person....I don't even remember what I had ordered to be honest.
These are a completely apples to oranges comparison, so I'm not sure if anyone out there has any experience with both of these models or not. I guess I can always see what kind of trade in the BMW dealer would give me on the R1T.
Long story short, I went from not thinking I'd have either vehicle anytime soon to having both of them show up within a few weeks of each other.
