R1S Cargo Cover Received

After realizing that the R1S cargo cover was not part of the vehicle configurator (don't know why), I decided to purchase it directly from the gear shop so that I would have it whenever I take delivery since this is a feature I use a lot. I ordered last weekend and it took all week to get here. I don't know if it was a Rivian problem or a UPS problem but the delivery was rescheduled three times from Wednesday on to Saturday. No, there are mounting positions behind both the 2nd and 3rd row and it is long enough to extend to the lift gate from either position

How thick is the rolled up cover? Since the distance between the 2nd row seat to the rear hatch is bit long, if its too thick, then the weight of the material will cause it to sag in the middle of the cover. If its too thin, then it would be flimsy and will look cheap.

Of course, if they use a relatively stiff, uni-directional fabric that's light weight, then its a moot point but since you have it, thought to ask.

Land Rover had ingeniously made the cargo cover to fit perfectly in the gap between the 2nd and 3rd row when folded down making it a perfectly flat floor (and a great way to stow it away). I wonder if Rivian did something similar.

Whatcha protecting with this thing? Bears go by smell and there’s prolly no consequences for breaking into a car in places where people break into cars…
