How do you hear from them? Email? Pop up on 8 steps? Phone call from guide? Service center? Illinois? SoCal? May be doing less screening to VM of random calls next few weeks ?
I got a "Your Rivian is ready for delivery" email then logged into my account and scheduled delivery before anyone could reach out to me.

Truck on rail (likely): 7/26
Call to schedule pick-up at West Sacramento SC: 8/19

Good luck to all.

I just got confirmation that my truck still isn't on a train yet.

I got my VIN and 8 steps started on 8/2. So we're at three weeks of it sitting in Normal, waiting around (and not letting me come pick it up at the factory).

It's obviously not the end of the world, I've waited 2 years already, I can wait a few more weeks. But it's so much more painful when you are that close.?

Honestly, it sounded like a train load left Normal for SF Bay Area just a few days before I got my VIN. I wonder how they are batched up, and if mine is just waiting for another large batch of vehicles to all head to SF again.

Ouch. I got VIN 7/28 and still no updates from West Sac team. Guide doesn’t seem to know anything. Limbo land isn’t fun.

I'm going with the hope that a giant batch of vehicles is headed to CA together, and it's just about to leave. Yours will be right next to mine on that train. :)

My coworker just got his VIN, so we have a few trucks to keep track of and see how it progresses. We've all got to be headed west at the same time, right?!

Hoping my truck is right there with you all. 8 steps & vin assigned on the 16th, been told its in transit to San Diego. Guide keeps saying 8-10 weeks for transport, then 2-3 weeks at service is what to expect. I'm hoping that's REALLY trying to underpromise and set expectations super low... ?

any updates from those West Coast people waiting on the train(s) that went out at the beginning of August? Not a peep for since Aug 3 when guide said it was already on a train somewhere. VIN 98XX, 7/8 steps done.

I have to decide if I'm going to renew registration on my other car...
My truck departed Normal for SF around Aug 4, guide told me yesterday it arrived in SF but hasn't gone through the initial inspection yet to schedule delivery

How were you informed the truck isn't on a train yet? Our process started about 1.5 weeks after you, and allegedly it's on a train heading out west. I'm in OC / SoCal for reference, but I can't imagine it's a different train between SoCal and Bay Area.

Nice. I’m gonna assume that mine is there too then, because the timing is identical!

I asked my guide. I've tried not to bug her, but it had been two weeks since the last update and I was curious if it was in transit or not. I had another question I needed answering, so I used the opportunity.

The train to SoCal could actually be a totally different train from the SF Bay Area actually. I know very little about train freight, but a map posted here in one of these threads showed two main routes to CA. One headed west along I80 and down into the Bay Area. The other headed further south through NM and Arizona on it's way to the LA area. So who knows.

Noted, thanks. My guide (who is very good) told me our car is on the train, but he didn't have more information than that...so I was hoping the collective wisdom of the group is able to get to a more granular level of detail.

Thanks for the quick response!

Have confirmed through Guide mine has also arrived at SSF service center (told on train Aug 3). Now the wait for inspection!

I've got a R1T coming to Portland service center. It has been a long journey, on 3rd assigned VIN and still not truck. Black with off-road add ons. I ordered in Nov 2018 so my pre holder number was in the low 3000's. The train unloads in Kent, WA then they use a local hauler to bring them down to get pre/post trip inspected and ready for the customer. I was told 8/22 arrival by my guide, however both guide and a Rivian employee at the PDX center mentioned they haven't seen the truck yet in Kent at the rail head but hopefully any day now.
